My video and audio messes up sometimes. I fixed it but for about 3 min during the reaction my voice and mouth doesn't sync up with it but I fixed it. 🤦 Love you guys 😂🩷🤗🤦
ALSO: CHECK OUT CRACK THE SKY - NUCLEAR APATHY if you liked this song!

There's no group like Dream Theater. Fan since 1992.

why do i get such joy watching others listen to my favorite band of all time for the first time??! it gives me chills and even more appreciation for them. great vid!

you picked an excellent song for your first time listening to DT

The Best of Times by Dream Theater is about the drummer's father who past away. Mike Portnoy was able to play it for him just before he past away.

I wish I could have the chance to hear this song again for the first time! hahah

IMHO these guys are probably the most talented and virtuosic prog/metal/rock bands on the planet.. This song is one of my favorites.. (check out "Nightmare to Remember" on the same album).  ALL John Petrucci's Guitar solos are deep, magical, and emotional.. he's a master.. IMHO, probably one of the most talented performers I've seen/heard in 50+ years

What makes this song even more amazing is that the singer narrates between 2 characters. On Metropolis Part 2 and The Astonishing he narrates multiple characters.

You'll need a couple of boxes of tissue for The Best of Times from the same album.

go read the lyrics.. The count of Tuscany, during second world war, was invaded by enemy armies.   Some of the enemy troops were running from the allied armies.  The count invited them, in, to help hide them.. He led them down to the wine cellar, and told them to climb into the empty wine barrels.   When the armies that were hunting the enemy troops had left, the count left those enemy troops in the empty wine barrels, sealed inside, is where they all died... The story was about a modern man, being taken for a 'ride thru the open country side' expecting to be shown some interesting sights, but was taken to the estate, to share this story of what his brother did during the war.  The man was frightened for his life, thinking his end was nigh.  But in time, the Count said, I"m not trying to hurt you, I want you to tell the story of my brother and the me the Count of Tuscany..    This is thought to have been a real event that occurred in Tuscany during the second world war.   Unproven, but this story was told and passed down thru the years, by word of mouth.. ergo, we have this story of "The Count of Tuscany"

This song was magically epic.  I've known of Dream Theater and James Labrie, but never listened to their music until now.  I am blown away at how beautiful this was.  Thank you for the reaction!

Really sorry about your dad. DT really has this gift of touch our feelings so deeply. You have to listen to The Best of Times but prepare to crying a lot. Wish you all the best. Hugs from Brazil 😘

You should hear the best of times by then!!!

Great video, amazing Song, incredible band

Love Dream Theater 🎭💗

Thanks for the crack the Sky suggestion. You are right I like them

Dream theater oh yeaaaaaaa, man these dudes are extremely epic, been jamming them on and off forever. Pull me under is super awesome of a song as well. More of these please 🙏 :_AWESOME::_AWESOME::_AWESOME:

This is a very special song. For me, there are three contenders for best DT song of the 21st century, and those are Octavarium, Count of Tuscany and Shadow Man Incident. And while it's super close, I think this just shades it. It's glorious.

My favorite DT song! It’s fun to watch people bob their head to a first listen to a DT song.  I dare you to attempt it to The Dance of Eternity lol

Me fascina cómo se agota el arsenal de caras y miradas felices ante tantos matices cambiantes.

Lets go Dream Theater! ❤ Great choice Sammy.
