I am Chinese. During my years at university, I met an elderly woman from Shanghai who shared her childhood memories of the Second Sino-Japanese War. She told me that, when she was just four years old, she witnessed Japanese soldiers stab a pregnant woman with a bayonet and pull the unborn baby from her womb. The trauma was so overwhelming that she developed a high fever for several days and nearly suffered lasting brain damage. Yet, despite the unimaginable horrors she experienced, she remained someone who embraced life with warmth and optimism. It has been many years since I last saw her, and I sincerely hope she is still safe and well.
the biggest tragedies of unit 731 are: 1) all the perpetrators went free and started highly successful healthcare&pharma companies using the researches 2) the americans let them free in exchange for all their research results and probably continued the experiments.
Many people only know about 731, but they don't know about Qiqihar 516. Dongning 543, Linkou 162, Dalian 319, Harbin 659, Mudanjiang 643, Sun Wu 673, Changchun 100, Jilin 531, Bozi 8604, Nanjing Rongzi 1644. North China 1855, Jinan 1875, Hong Kong character 9420, Taiwan 8702, there are at least 7 main forces like 731, and there are also 63 localities throughout China. History cannot be forgotten.
One of the biggest crimes of WWII was that Emperor Hirohito and senior Japanese officials were not tried and executed like many of their Nazi counterparts.
“People talk sometimes of a bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as a man, so artistically cruel. The tiger only tears and gnaws, that's all he can do. He would never think of nailing people by the ears, even if he was able to do it. - Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The experiment that shook me the most when visiting the museum in Harbin was when the Japanese would heat the floor of a cell with a mother and child inside - of course barefoot - simply to study at what point the mother would sacrifice her child by stepping over the body.
