In this video I transformed my £600 Ford Fusion into an ST model. Previously, I removed the standard 79 horsepower engine and upgraded the Fusion’s power with a 2L, 150 horsepower Fiesta ST Engine... but there was a problem; the car was way too fast for its original handling parts. So, I spent thousands of pounds on modifications such as performance coilovers, tyres, brakes and much more. We also fixed the loud exhaust note as well refurbish the rear beam and front subframe to tie in all the new handling mods together.

I genuinely don’t think anyone does this type of content better. Please keep up the good work. I know everyone talks about Matt Armstrong and even auto Alex but this is actually better for this modification type stuff. Love it love it love it.

I really enjoy these builds. But what could be really cool is if you let a fairly decent (mainly consistent) driver do like 4 laps on a small track when stock, and then another go when done. I feel that would be the best way to show just how much these things improve the car as a whole. And im not saying you need Ben Collins or a formula 1 driver. Just a driver that can do 4 fairly similar laps at a decent pace :)

22:49 what my dad showed me well over 25 years ago and he had been doing for a long time was to get an empty plastic soda bottle, punch a hole in the lid, stick a hose through. Fill the bottle up with enough brake fluid to cover the end of the hose. Then put the other end of the hose on the bleeder screw. Pump up the brake pedal, open the bleeder. Then from that point on you can just keep pumping the brakes with the bleeder open as it will push out the air, it will bubble up to the surface of the fluid in the bottle and when it sucks back in it just sucks in fluid. Repeat till no more bubbles and close the bleeder screw. Be sure to keep the reservoir topped off while doing so though.

Little tip when bleeding the brakes, put the pipe you had on the bleed nipple in a glass jar put a bit brake fluid in, this makes it easy to see air bubbles. Cool build and quality work 👍

The rear beam looks great, but for it to last, it either needs rust cure & then 2k primer & then 2K top coat, or for more money powder coating, with 1k on metal it will look like it has just come off the Titanic after one winter, same said for front. Not criticizing, as you are doing a great job, just sharing my same mistakes and learning.

For the rears you could use StreetKa factory spacers, which bolt under the rear hubs so you won't damage the bearings. They add +20 MMs each and still can be ordered from Ford (also they are good for the Fiesta MK6 and Focus MK1) Part numbers: 1035739, bolts: 1252284.

It's interesting that in Brazil there was a Fusion (actually the Brazilian version of it, the Ecosport Mk1) with a 143 hp Duratec 2.0 from the factory, but the car was electronically limited because of the taller tires and raised suspension.
