Man invented virtual reality before it was a thing and they laughed at him and called it a load of bollocks

4:25 I love how he was angry at them for dropping cancer research and then he is genuinely interested in that owl thing

We blend everything into smoothies,  and he predicted the v.r. glasses, good job

They used to say " an apple a day keeps the doctor away".. now its 5 fruits.. that's happened.  You cant argue with that

"I'm looking at what happens if you give Feminax to an owl"
"... .... What happens?"

criminally underrated exchange

I absolutely LOVE how scrimpton shut him up completely. Like he immediately lost the argument

"I've stopped my cancer research" WHO TOLD YOU TO DO THAT?! 😂😂

9:20 he basically described AR glasses something that actually exists, not so much to put graffiti on walls or change other aspects of reality as you go about your day, but digital desktops and screens for media viewing

9:00 KARL PREDICTED VR HEADSETS

“Everybody but the big bang people, leave.”

"No, because they've done it before" Karls thought process is nothing but amazing hahahaha!

8:25 Perfect replay button

8:24 Karl predicts AR glasses and gets told it’s “absolutely pointless”, “would never work”, and it’s “a load of bollocks”.

Now we have tons of AR apps and the Apple Vision.

the augmented reality bit is brilliant

Find me another comedic duo who can riff off eachother as effortlessly and brilliantly as these two, god I hope they do work together again some day.

8:20 Can we just talk about how Karl Plilkinton not only pitched the idea for a mix between virtual reality and augmented reality, he also pitched a business model with microtransactions where you can literally buy skinpacks for your surroundings? The man's a genius, and despite Ricky's reservations, this can and has been done now, in the future!

KP Plumbing is the greatest 100% purely improvised skit of all time. It crushes everything else.

Mad that Karl absolutely nailed it with his predictions within 20 years.

I love how blended foods (Huel) and AR glasses are now a thing Karl you genius

To be fair, emojis and like buttons are much like Karl’s prediction of “new letters” in that they are another way of symbolically communicating.
