Hello and welcome to Flowy Days 🌿
An early autumn morning devoted to slow homemaking: tidying up the kitchen after breakfast, caring for the kettle, and the gentle aroma of freshly brewed pour-over coffee. Before baking a soft, cinnamon-scented apple cake, a refreshing walk in the park with Oliver to enjoy the crisp morning air. Then back to the balcony garden to harvest fresh zinnias and marigolds, brew a warm Moroccan mint tea, and settle into a quiet moment with a lit candle and a good book.
Grab a warm cup and enjoy the video. Thank you so much for being here with me 🤍

🍎 Soft Cinnamon Apple Cake
Ingredients: 2 apples, 250g all-purpose flour, 60g spelt flour, 150g sugar (I used only 90g), 4 eggs, 100ml oil, 90ml milk, 1 packet baking powder (12g), 2 tbsp ground cinnamon, grated lemon zest, a pinch of salt, 1 tbsp brown sugar, butter and flour for the baking tin.
Method: Beat eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Slowly drizzle in the oil and milk, then fold in the grated lemon zest. Sift in the flours with baking powder, salt, and part of the cinnamon, mixing gently by hand with smooth motions. Fold the diced apples coated in cinnamon into the batter. Pour into the greased and floured baking pan, arrange the sliced apples in a fan pattern on top, and finish with a dusting of brown sugar and extra cinnamon. Bake in a static oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
