to take the mayuun island they would have to creat a beach head on the mainland to give the island room to breath,honestly,once that was done they could use the island as a helo base to support the ground troops on the mainland

No forces should even waste time with the Bab el mandeb locations.
The houthis have nothing there but mopeds.
Attacking armed forces need to ignore the noise and focus on radar, missile launchers, and supply lines and weapons depots.

And that stuff will likely be embedded with schools and hospitals.....sadly....
