It's a privilege to watch the great wasim bowling ❤

@SamraatMaharjan 1 month ago

Thanks for reupload. McGrath recently said, "Wasim had more skill in his two fingers than McGrath had in the whole body." That's some compliment from one great to another great.

Allan Border once said that if he could be any cricketer other than himself he would like to be Wasim Akram. High praise indeed.

Doesn’t matter that the video is old. Fascinating. The guy was a genius.

Wasim, at age 48, can swing the new ball more than our current pakistani bowlers. It is absolutely ridiculous!!!

Wasim and Waqar what a great bowling combo

There was noone better than Wasim. He could bowl inswing, outswing, yorkers, reverse, you name the delivery and he had it in his armory. Tall and lanky he could bowl at 90mph at ease with a 13 yard runup. He could have easily added 50 more wickets both in ODIs and Tests if he had support from the fielders. One of the jewels of the subcontinent.

Wasim and Waqar in their pomp always looked terrifying from my sofa. Facing them must have been an enormous challenge. I can still picture Waqar’s in-swinging yorker - attacking the batsman’s toes like a laser guided missile. Wasim seems like a really great guy in this video, which ought to be a must-watch for any aspiring quick bowler.

Lancs in the early nineties was an awesome period! 😀

This is gold for every cricketer and diamond for every Pakistani

Wasim Akram was arguably a bigger threat bowling around the wicket than over the wicket with his inswing.

@mandar9121 1 month ago

He is number 1 for me, just because he is suited for every format, every condition and a very good batter as well! Plus he is still a handsome guy!

the greatest.... of all time....Wasim Akram

@crichustlenetwork 1 month ago

At this age he can swing both ways with new ball is a class within itself.

Lovely, what an ambassador for cricket. Amazing bowler

Wasim was genuinely one of the most fearsome bowlers of the 1990s if not of all time! He looks like he could be CEO of a company with his kindly features and his authority, but the guy had the ability to swing the ball into and away from batters at express pace and with real menace. He is a product of Pakistan, the gully environment where the tape ball does all kinds of things and teaches some of the most creative bowlers we have seen. God bless Wasim - as an Englishman and a cricket fan, summers were better for seeing you even if our batters didn't think so!
