This city has the most amount of Hard Offs in Japan! Very few people who come to Japan know to come here, so there are no tourists and plenty of retro bargains to find!

That Red DS could be the Mario Kart DS edition, it was bundled with the game in 2006

32:15 I saw this and my jaw freaking dropped to the dang floor. This is one of the freaking rarest records out there!

I wish I could be rich and go to Japan like once a month. I'd love to go to Tokyo but I'd much rather take trips through the country side. Japan is such a beautiful country.

No more AI thumbnails. That guy doesn't even look like you.

It's just a shame that the trip to Japan, the hotel, and a rental car cost a fortune. But at least I'm saving a few bucks on an old game console.

47:27 you should pick up the DS TV Tuner and check it out while you are in Japan because it still works for TV there! Super neat!

this has been such a wholesome and intriguing look into not only retro tech but also just an outsider's look into japan, it brings me so much genuine warmth to see your relationship with alex, it reminds me of my friends JJ and Kaori who both lived in Kyoto for a time who i have now sadly lost, regardless keep up the awesome work elliot, loving this series so much!

Great series Elliot, my son (12) looks forward to watching these every week and is planning his backpacking journey through Japan based on your adventures. Thanks again!
