Is Salou still any good when you’re over 50? 🇪🇸
Welcome to Part 2 of our Salou 2026 trip! This time Shaz and I finally get to relax and see what Salou is really like for us slightly more mature travellers. 😂
We try out the pool at our hotel, head into Salou for an evening wander, revisit one of our favourite pizza places and finish the night back at the hotel watching the entertainment.
I’ll also give you a quick look around the Hotel California Palace and, importantly, reveal how much we actually paid for the whole trip.
So if you’re in your 50s, 60s or beyond and wondering whether Salou is still worth visiting in 2026, hopefully this gives you a proper everyday look at it — no glossy travel brochure, just us!

Salou does look really nice pal & 4 nights half board, in a decent hotel, flights, transfers etc, I think it’s a great deal. xx
I remember the washing up liquid in Rotherham fountains bud.....I put it in there aswell 😂😂
As for the kids club Karen still gets up now and does the dancing and we don't have any kids anymore 😮
I really can't believe I just missed you bud, but Salou is fantastic for everyone and only 2 hrs away
