17:00 dear hollywood, we dont want creepy pasta movies, but young fresh directors with young fresh views and ideas! god damnit

Now, Hollywood will tap this new genre, and then proceed to milk it for all it's worth. That is, until the next media "phenomenon" comes along.

never thought I'd see the day I would cringe at the idea of Spielberg getting involved with projects created by fresh talent. But, here we are. LOL

Many people watched this not knowing it was just some basement dwellers nightmare on a forum

i love seeing these outsiders getting their stuff on the big screen, and i hope the run of creativity lasts at least a few more years before hollywood co-opts and sucks the life out of it the way they do everything else

Kane using original characters for the movie was a good idea. the studio will own those and he can keep all this other stuff.

Backrooms is peak

11:20 I feel like Captain Clark's shape deliberately resembles the bacteria entity from a distance to bait and switch existing fans. Which would be awesome if true.

i remember hearing Kane say in an interview that it takes place approximately the summer after the youtube series timeline does, like further exploring and expanding the canon and media.

It's crazy to hear what the industry is up to and the casual crimes its corporations commit.

I just happened to be watching Far From Home for definitely no reason at all a week ago or so and I noticed that Renate Reinsve was in a tiny role in the movie as one of the people working with Mysterio. She doesnt have any lines, but she has a few seconds of screen time a couple times. When Mysterio is working on his drones- around 1 12 00 and 1 13 00 in the movie.
She was not credited (she has no lines), and AI wants to deny it because no one noticed and AI only knows things it can steal from already existing information online (because it's not actually AI its just an algorithm scraping information from other people), but it really looks like her. I'm pretty sure it's her.

When you say that Kane stated "THEY have the rights to the movie property, even if he wanted to do a sequel [with] another company," does THEY = A24, or does THEY = Kane & his team?

Guys. If you don’t like the movie, don’t watch it. And don’t comment on videos related to it, because that’ll only convince the algorithm you went to see more of the movie you don’t like.

I'm worried about Siren head, I hope it's good than Slenderman. Also Stephen Spielberg directing Mandela catalogue!? He's the king of movies with realistic effects

Before 4chan backrooms there was a SCP-3008 "Infinite ikea" . As the Ikea is a furniture store - it is obvious why Clark has a furniture store with a portal to infinite backrooms. Also what brand color is associated with Ikea?

Loved the movie; loved his YouTube content before. I'm quite happy for his success. Thanks for your review.

That's wild. I met Chris Stuckman in a laundromat in 2014. He had just hit 100K viewers. Even if he failed a movie I am happy to see these creators getting their dues. Good work.

i feel like 95% of the people who think the movie is bad are the same people who say they arent book smart but street smart. they just dont understand the movie and just want to have a chase scene every 3 minutes

I wish we could dump most of Hollywood into the Backrooms...
