It tugged at my heartstrings when EVA thinks your big boss 🥲

Therein lies the irony, Ocelot sees Big Boss as an older brother and he was born on June 6th 1944, as a result of the intimate relationship between The Boss (known back then as The Joy) and The Sorrow. And of course the Boss adopted Naked Snake (who is 9 years older than Adamska) as her apprentice/son a decade later in 1954, after she had been irradiated three years ago in Nevada. Plus the S3 (which I'm sure you know stands for "Selection for Societal Sanity") was in fact a precursor to the Sons of the Patriots nanomachine system, so they could control human thoughts, emotions and behaviour.

I like how the gun Liquid uses to shoot the body further cements the fact that Ocelot is not there.

It's called the Thor .45-70. According to its in-game description, it's "adapted for use in competitive shooting and hunting", which would make it a high class weapon that's not meant for shooting people.

So, instead of using a revolver, Liquid uses a gun that goes against what Big Boss told Ocelot all those years ago.

Fun Fact: During the tailing section you’re being watched by the scarabs disguised as a man in a hat and coat. If you turn around during a few moments you’ll see them peeking out and watching you, if you get close they hide

This act includes:

Foreshadowing of how Otacon's lovelife ends up.

When EVA dropped the APPLE, it is a reference to of course the Bible

Snake, EVA, ADAM and the Forbidden Fruit

And when Johnny was kissed by Meryl, it solidified on that very moment that he lost TWO of the people he loved.
One as a lover (Meryl kissing Johnny)
and one as a mother (Snake to EVA)

The chapter names represent the snakes. So do Sunny's eggs. This chapter is Third Sun - hinting at the twist. Also at one point, Sunny cracks open eggs and two come out.

"That's my boy" gets me crying everytime

This is super late but Dr. Clark/Para-Medic was and wasn't a retcon. Anthony was still correct. The English translation of MGS1 addressed Dr. Clark with male pronouns but the original Japanese dialogue didn't address Dr. Clark with any gender. To make it more consistent, the MGS4 database files came up with Dr. Clark becoming a recluse away from the public eye so much so that eventually everyone, including Naomi, just assumed Clark was a man.

Johnny(Akiba) just clocked snake.

Loving your Metal Gear playthroughs

Did you notice that when Ocelot was doing the finger guns thing and the FROGs were shooting he was also chanting out da da da da da da da da da da da da as if he was shooting? lolz he's such a kid! 😂🤣

Also the FROGs seem to have no clip activated because they kept shooting and never reloaded. The P90 only has freaking 50 rounds magazines and I'm fairly certain they shot more than that, lolz.

If you used the Auto Aim option, then the motorcycle shootout will be even more cinematic.

When I played this in 2008 I think played this mission 90% as I never got a handle on how good the eyesight of the enemies was lol

It really bugs hearing “it's in Europe” like Europe isn't a huge continent, at least it was clarified as “Eastern Europe” not that it's much better as landing coordinates

Also realised  a few concepts in the briefing for Act 3 made it into Death Stranding, Big Boss as a bio mort is anomalous to still mothers and Raiden getting autotoxemia like a BB (heck Naomi describing Sunny as not being born yet is similar to a BB)

And it is kinda sad Otacon calls himself a former otaku, he missed out on so many good shows cos he created a nuclear-equipped walking death mobile and felt guilty. I hope he relapsed enough to watch “Your Name” at least.

Dr Clark was originally male, then changed later on.  Later after this game, an easter egg is revealed from a character (think from MGSV) saying "She is working so deep underground and so classified, many don't even know if Dr Clark is male or female".  Suggesting Naomi on MGS1 misidentified Dr Clark as male.

@55:15 No its called "Metal gear........solid".
lol

Yabloko moloko is one of the apples in MGS3

1:10:57 emotional danage

Akiba the low grade Solid Snake 🙊

39:57 "Is this a real concept"

Several concepts in MGS are indeed real.....unfortunately
