"I did the dishes, though" That sentence hit me like a sledgehammer. Doing the dishes when battling depression is such a chore and managing to do it can be a small highlight of a week. I would never in a million years expected to get a superhero movie in which the main villain is mental health and I will be thankful for that movie for a very long time.

I never thought the MCU would do a deep dive into the issue of depression, but honestly it's a great message that even "heroes" can suffer from it too.

The son of Bill Pullman and the son of Kurt Russell acting together makes me feel every bit of my 49 years.

This quickly turned into a comfort movie when I'm having a rough day myself.

SENTRY was actually holding back basically ALL of his power when fighting the others. If he hadn’t been he could’ve disintegrated them with one finger. People still don’t realize how absolutely BROKEN The SENTRY is, I pray they do him justice in the MCU. Depending on the version/form of him, he is almost IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE in the current MCU to beat.

In order to win, Bob literally needed to STOP BEATING UP ON HIMSELF. That was the depression metaphor.

This movie broke me. It hit too close to home for me. It brought up all my depression feelings to light.

The way they showed depression with bob and with Wanda in the MCU was amazing. I saw a comment that said Bob was a threat that they treated like a friend, and that Wanda was a friend that they treated like a threat. And that really hit me hard.

“You don’t matter…..to anyone”
GOD that line felt like a punch to the heart 😔 as someone who’s constantly telling myself that I’m not enough & no one really cares about me….I love this movies theme about mental health ❤️‍🩹

The Fantastic 4 reveal in the post credits scene had SOOOOOO many people thinking that the FF lost to Galactus in their movie. I think with the last few MCU movies they've gotten smart and are getting things going in the right direction.

I think Thunderbolts is the best Marvel property to come out in years. It's a different kind of hero story. It's a mental health hero story. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, this hit HARD for me. I cried multiple times watching this movie. I hope Marvel does more like this. I would love more mental health based stories!

This movie, honestly, 1000/10. The writing, visuals, cinematography, acting, score, its just incredible.

The Intro Scene actually was no CGI, she really jumped off a Building for that Stunt.

Pugh herself did not realise how much she was struggling before she deep dove into the character oi Yelena.
If you are struggling please reach out to either a doctor, your family or a good friend. Don't suffer in silence. There is no shame in mental health.

This movie came to me at a perfect time. Not only did Marvel do a piece on Depression, they handled it with respect, and did it exceptionally, all while still making a funny superhero movie. This is 100% my favourite post-endgame Marvel Project.

Look close and right before Sentry folds the shield he rotates it to protect Cap Jrs arm from being completely crushed.

Gotta say, I love how we see, while he's a big goof, Alexi has a big heart deep down. When he opens up to Yelena about being a sucky father but he's there now, his saving the little girl and then when he breaks down screaming when he thinks he's lost Yelena after she steps into the void. I also got a laugh how we can clearly see he wasn't a real true party loving Communist with how quickly he embraced life in America.

@richcotton4974 10 months ago (edited)

In the comics the only way they could defeat the void was to defeat the sentry, and the only way they could defeat the sentry was to wipe everyone's mind, including Bob, that the sentry ever existed. It worked, for a while
