My brother had a widow Maker heart attack a couple of years ago. He miraculously survived but passed away a couple of months ago. I don’t think he could ever fully recover from it.
Thanks for sharing such a scary event - I would be kinda freakin out as well asking the same things as your guest was asking
We priced private insurance where we live in Nevada and it was close to $1000 a month. And covered a little more than nothing. 😂
Fred Carl and I are going to be in Bangkok in mid July and are coming to stay - we want to come see y’all - will keep in touch for a good time to come visit.

There we go again. My wife actually had a surgery in the USA last year. The good news was it was a pretty major surgery that was performed as a long day surgery. The doctors and nurses were exceptional. The bad news was when the bill came we had a policy that carried a $7,000 USD deductible. That was our cost but the bill came to over $52,000 USD. So the insurance covered the rest. $52,000 plus. WOW.

Good to hear this positive story and that Tom is good to go ! You are right Fred; many people for some reason refrain from seeking medical. Last November, my wife did not want to go get checked out while on our trip to Chiang Mai. She was not contagious when we flew back but, when we got back to the States, she was not in great shape and at the ER, found out she had pneumonia. Things could have went all kinds of sideways, flying while having pneumonia ! What I'm getting at is that everyone needs to just trust ALL these videos about Health Care in Thailand; if you have something wrong, please just go have it checked out ! We learned a lesson that could have been very disastrous. Thanks for sharing Fred and take care !
