In the fall of 1993, a group of specialists traveled to the Chernobyl zone to inspect several abandoned sites. They discovered an old concrete road in the forest that wasn't on their map. It led them to a closed medical complex designated "C-4."
Inside were wards, laboratories, archives, and equipment belonging to a secret Soviet program. But the real mystery began when, among the old documents, they discovered medical records with their own names.
The records recorded events that weren't supposed to happen until the next day.
The deeper the group descended underground, the more it became clear: they had once studied no ordinary disease or even the effects of radiation here. Patients in C-4 recounted events long before they happened. Some described the evacuation of Pripyat even before the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
And behind the door of cell No. 6 lay an explanation that made the story of this secret hospital even more terrifying.
My name is Volodya. Today I'll tell the story of facility C-4, a place where medical records sometimes appeared before the patients themselves.
