Gideon used to work 50 hours a week and then stream another 30 hours—not for fun, but because he had no other choice. In this episode, he tells how a hobby became a financial necessity, how he and his co-founder Benni founded the company BNX "because we had to," and why he still says that, purely financially speaking, he would have been wiser to simply stay in his old job.

Jannik, aka Gideon, has been involved in the PUBG scene since 2017—as a competitive player (2017–2019), as co-founder of BNX, the organization behind PUBG esports in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), and as a streamer with over 8,000 hours on Twitch, around 7,000 of which were in PUBG. He studied business psychology and then consulted for luxury car manufacturers. He opens up about depression and therapy, the pressure to perform that still haunts him, and what he truly wants from life.
