Can we all agree that Mr.Seger is one of the greatest singer/songwriter's Ever?

This song will hit you a lot harder in 20 years.

Now that I'm older I appreciate this song even more!

You’ve just stumbled down a deep rabbit hole with Bob Seger. His songs all reflect life and growing up. You should listen to Turn the Page next, about life on the road for a musician, but he has so many great songs in his catalog.

This is the song that hits harder the older you get.

Bob Seeger is one of the best singer songwriters in Rock history. Loved your reaction Millie! Seen him many times before and after he became famous. I lived in the same area he did in Southern Michigan.

You can't go wrong with any Bob Seger song!  Such an icon!

This was released after Bob had been in the game for about 20 years.  It came out 40 years ago.  And it is a beautiful song about looking back...and 40 years down the road, for me, brings it all back.  I was only 21 when this came out.  I just turned 61.  Forty years now...where'd they go?

If it hits you hard at 20 years imagine how hard it hits you, after 40 years it just makes me want to cry.

Bob Seger is awesome.  You will fall harder the more you listen to his music.

I hope more young people find great music like that.

Timeless Classic...I've always tears in my eyes seeing this vid...reminds me when I was 18 too, that's now 40ys ago...🙋🏼‍♂️

I love Bob Seger. What a national treasure he is.

"We don't recognize the most important moments of our lives when they happen" - Remember every day when you are young, Millie! Because this song hits harder at 38 and older.

This song will come to mean a lot more to you when you’re older and the memories flicker across your mind.

Yes, way to shout out the backing vocal choir!  The chord progression of this song is mainly starting on the tonic (it’s in Ab) for 2 bars, then up a 4th to Db for 2 bars, then up another 4th to Gb for 2 bars, and then it comes back down those 4ths, back to Db and then resolves to Ab.  Those falling 4th chords are plagal cadences…they are the ‘aaaaaa-men’ chords at the end of hymns.  I feel like those two plagal cadences back to back with the choir overtop of them gives this tune that religious type feel and is  big part of the magic and beauty of this song.  It’s such a simple…brilliantly simple…song.  And yeah the way it builds with those first 3 verses, then moves up for the chorus, and then the bridge is way up there and then a killer guitar solo…then back down to earth to reminisce some more in the moonlight until the final repeated chorus.  Just…it’s musical perfection.

Your excitement and enjoyment is so much fun to see for this beautiful song.  This was a theme for Chevy trucks for years.

Fantastic to see you reacting again.
Bob Seger, what a great voice

This is definitely story telling at its best. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL.

I love watchin the young ones taking in real music for the first time. Seger is iconic. One of the very best. If you like bass, I mean really like thumpin bumpin wild bass. I encourage you to react to the entire first album by Boston. That bass was legendary. Rock it girl.
