I HATEDDD how they treated Keenyah. And then for Tyra of all people to turn around like a year later Tyra was in tears on her talk show telling America to kiss "her fat ass". Like GURL you perpetuated this idea that a model/tv personality can only look one way?! I don't feel sorry for Tyra when it came back to bite her in "her fat ass".

The irony is that IF Brittany would have become quieter and more subdued throughout the competition, then she would have gotten the, "Where's the loud and bubbly girl we cast? We think you're shrinking to the back"

This whole thing gives abusive parents vibe. Mommy cut your hair against your will, with a dull paper scissor, it looks absolutely awful and you have to turn around and say "thank you" before you are dismissed to your room to cry. All these sly, mean comments you must accept, don't talk back and no matter what you do, it's always wrong, too much, too little too... you, I guess.
Michelle looked so tired in the end, runner down by all this shit, she didn't deserve any of it.

Making caged mammals forced to do tricks hang out with caged mammals forced to do tricks is just cruel.

As a South African I want to awnser some of the miss information/questions in this video.

-South Africa has a really big fashion scene and has a mixture of traditional styles and modern styles
-Lions actually don’t mind the the vehicles and tend to ignore them but if they come up to the vehicle just stay still and remain quiet (the game rangers are trained professionals and won’t put guests in harms way)

-South African climate varies but a rule of thumb is it is hot during the day and cooler at night and in the early morning

-In South Africa we have crocodiles not gators

A friendly reminder that doing some research before going to a foreign place never hurts.

Keenyah's storyline was about being "overweight" and they made it seem like she was a terrible person just for having a few more pounds after some weeks of competition. It's funny that a few years later Tyra Banks did a whole speech about how people shouldn't point at others for being fat followed by the sentence "You can kiss my fat ass" while in tears...

You didn't notice it, but there is an edit in this episode that has stuck with me all these years and still makes me fuming.
A dramatic zoom in on her belly just as she breathes and simultaneously bend over so it expands a bit, and a very loud sound effect. Such an ugly thing to do.

Poor Michelle. They ruined her hair (bucket of PISS, sweetie?), they ruined her skin, they completely stomped on her self esteem until she doubted EVERYTHING, and the other girls practically shunned her. Who in their right mind would WANT that life? I just don't understand it at all. 😕

Janice being the unhinged drunk mom that none of us wanted.

The fact I used to agree with them that Keenyah was "fat". I USED TO LOOK AT MYSELF AND THINK I WAS FAT. GIRL, this show screwed up my little 20 year old brain.

ANTM proves once again that Tiffany was RIGHT!!! The challenge's only reason to exist is to HUMILIATE the girls!!! It's not about fashion, I don't think that there was any fashion show so far in the season, but kissing bears and laying down on the mud is how you prove to be a good model!! Tiffany was right (each week there's a new humiliation) Sorry for the broken english!!

Having had to immigrate out of my own country due to identity/health issues, I empathise with how hard/necessary that decision can become. Thanks for sharing your story.

The biggest scandal of the episode is our girl, Mary the crocodile model, didnt get paid for her cameo.

@tangent5 1 year ago

Making these girls hunch over in the mud to "recreate poses they saw from the exotic animals" is so foul. They were really on a mission to humiliate them as much as humanly possible.

You whispering "Time to go home and get some purple shampoo" 😭😭😂😂 too real

Janice not knowing the difference between passion and sexual assault...world's first model grrrrrls!

I can just see ANTM not following safety standards for the animals and models already. I worked at a zoo during the summer, and the number of people NOT following directions for our Creature Features (handling live animals) or visiting to look at our exhibited animals was astounding.

My second year I was handling one of our screech owls after recieving special training and they are a no touch animal for guests. Guess what happened even though I stepped back, said no and tried to shield him.... thank God he was in a good mood and didn't bite. 🤦‍♀️

Edit: The sound that tiger made was enough to tell me she wasn't happy! Ugh

There’s something about Michelle’s elimination that has always pulled at my heart strings. Even Janice and Nigel seemed sad over her reaction to being eliminated. She really tried so hard to be a good model and be liked by the other girls and it makes me sad how she was always seemingly picked on in a sense. I really love how you’ve been so kind about her throughout the rewatch and have always complimented her beauty. I really hope she is happy now and living her best life ❤

@LadySadieMae 1 year ago

It's like the show is contractually required to have at least one eating disorder episode and one "this model is too fat" episode per season.

*also lovelovelove when you wear the red tone shadows underneath your eyes. It's giving vampire queen of the night and I'm here for it. <3
