So Jacob decided on which song he was going to record with the Metropole Orkest the night before flying to the Netherlands to record, settled on All Night Long then did the orchestrations (all night long) before going to the airport. He edited the video over very many months incorporating other performances.

If you haven't seen it, Jacob did one of his live stream logic session breakdowns for this song. Seeing how the "sauce gets made" may be even more incredible than hearing the song itself!

Estoy aprendiendo español poco a poco, y este vídeo me ha sido útil. Me alegra que el asombro por la música de Jacob trascienda los idiomas

Haha! I loved the hat flip when Jacob was running up and down the piano. Thanks for the English subtitles - it’s nice to know what you were saying.

This video, like others in his later work, are frantic and exciting. I love it when he sends a wall of sound to wash over you. This is my favorite of his split screen videos.

I do want to note, however, that not all of Jacob‘s work is like this. He has many slower songs and gorgeous ballads, still with complex harmonies, that are lovely to listen to. I will say that I can’t listen to anything by Jacob as background music. His music requires active listening.

If you have a chance, listen to his whole first album, called In My Room. I think you’ll be surprised by the different genres and tempos of the songs.

Thank you for the English subtitles! You guys are great.

This was early when Jacob was doing the video editing himself using Final Cut Pro on a Mac. I heard it took him many, many months. If you look at Moon River you will see how it was outsourced to a tech company.

Hi! I want to point out the outstanding vocal combo "Take 6", and the surprise guests: Steve Vai, Quincy Jones, and Lionel Ritchie himself :)
One might think, that combining so many different groups/instrument sections/voices/cutlery and other household items would inevitably result in a mushy mess - but it doesn't, and it grooves :)
