I Tried 4 Viral K-Beauty Best Sellers—Here’s What’s Actually Worth Buying

I went into Sukoshi at Bellevue Square and asked which skincare products were their best sellers. I purchased all four and put them to the dermatologist test:

• Medicube Triple Collagen Serum
• Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream
• SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF 50
• Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing UVLock Sunscreen SPF 45

Do topical collagen products actually rebuild collagen—or do they mainly provide hydration and temporary plumping? And which of these viral Korean sunscreens would I choose?

I tested the textures, reviewed the ingredient lists and ranked all four products. Remember that U.S. sunscreen formulas may use different UV filters from the Korean and international versions you’ve seen online.

As a kid/teen in Mexico, mom used collagen jelly (also pink) in my hair for the ultimate slicked-down bun or pony. May give the M'cube jelly a try in my hair for what is now 'the clean girl' bun. Ha! We've been doing it for decades!

Skin1004 sunscreen is one of the best on the list. Good with workout and humid weather. Two layers on the skin without any issue -No whitecast and easy to use even until the last application.

There are a couple other popular Medicube products like their collagen night wrapping mask and their PDRN pink peptide serum. Haruharu has their black rice moisture airyfit sunscreen that's popular and their probiotics barrier essence. Does the Sukoshi store have any C-beauty?

I have had melanoma and basal cell so sunscreen and protection is a MUST. My current favorite sunscreens are House of Hur Weightless Sun Fluid, Tocobo Bio Watery Sun Cream. I want to try Beplain and Round Lab Camellia, Dr Althea Aqua Glowing to name a few. At 56 with normal to slightly dry maturing skin, I need moisturizing and help fighting collagen loss, fine lines that are creeping in by my eyes and on forehead. I do currently use tret and Cosrx Retinol 0.5 alternating every other night. I need to find a good Korean Vitamin C. I do also have the Dr Reju- All Cooper Peptide. Also have Holitual Ultra Nourishing Toner & ultra nourishing essence and their eye cream. Have to get that from Amore Mall Seoul. I absolutely love K skincare. I so appreciate all you helpful videos! Keep up the great work Doc!

The Korean versions of those sunscreens are much better and have the advanced filters not available here. The American versions (detailed in this video) have the old fashioned sun filters which often irritate skin and don't protect as well.

Used dear, klairs calming pads and midnight blue calming cream with la roche dermoallergo fluid, cicaplast and bioderma recently for my skin irritation from geek&gorgeous vitamin c 15%, medik8 retinal and isdin melaclear advanced. I like dear, klairs. I used dermatory cera nmn as a mousturizer on my neck&decoltee finally today with a mineral sunscreen from filorga. I also used aestura hydra cera, dr.althea 345 relief cream, apieu madecassoside cica moisturizers during last 3 weeks on my neck& decoltee. Frankly heyday serum is very simple and nice imo. Aestura hydra cera serum is another favorite from korea. Love inkey list ectoin as well. Started vitamin c with la roche actually. Then i used missha vita c ampoule, goodal green tangerine, now geek&gorgeous. Will switch to vichy though, thanks to you dr. 🧿. Goodal is worth considering imo, as well as missha vita c. Korean ones r definitely easy on skin..... curious about your opinion on supplements. Started daily heliocaps and a ceramide one + vitamin c. recently. + your thoughts on luxury skincare in general and skinceuticals p tiox serum and cream, if i may.

I wish you can do a video of you talking about all Olay products I have seen the super seum ones the retinol and mircosulpting cream, but I want to see you do a video review on a few old Olay products that are hardly ever talked about and underated one is the Mother who started it all the Olay Active Hydration beauity fluid lotion which is still in drug store shelves today and some women swear by it. 2nd is the Olay Complete collection that has SPf 15 and one is SPF 40 and 3rd is I have seen you talked about Olay renenerst micro sulpting cream and Her sister Olay Retniol but there is a triplet sister to the Olay Regenerist line and is hardly mention its called Olay Renenest night recovery cream like the micro sulpting cream and Retniol she too comes in a glass like jar hers is like a light purple lavander jar so what your review on those Olay products too if you can please love to hear what you think.
