Kan Aye, a 33-year-old Myanmar national residing in Kanchanaburi province, works odd jobs, from driving garbage trucks and mowing lawns to operating water pumps and driving tour vehicles. Kan Aye has experienced his most difficult times, even going without food and having to forage for vegetables or buy supplies on credit, paying back later when he gets work. He also works as a porter at Khao Chang Phueak, a job he only does at the end of the year. His income is around 1,500 baht per trip, carrying up to 30 kilograms. His girlfriend also helps as a porter, with Kan Aye contributing 15 kilograms. He often faces situations where tourists fall from the mountain, requiring him to help them to safety. Kan Aye does all this for his children and family, not wanting them to be inferior to anyone. He always thinks ahead about how to earn money for the future and hopes his children will get a good education so they won't have to endure the sun and rain like him.
Today, Gan-E will take everyone to explore the natural beauty of Kanchanaburi province. We'll start by visiting Jokkradin Waterfall, known for its cool climate year-round. Next, we'll visit a tunnel dug 30 years ago by Gan-E's parents to mine tin – the old Pilok mine. Finally, we'll watch the sunset at Chang Suek Hill; the atmosphere is absolutely amazing! Viewers, you have to follow in our footsteps!
Gan-E's mission today is to safely carry the entire team's load of 45.9 kilograms up Chang Suek Mountain within 2 hours and 30 minutes. The total distance is 8 kilometers, and the altitude is 1,249 meters above sea level. Normally, Gan-E takes about 3-3.5 hours. How difficult will the journey be, and what unexpected events will occur? Watch to find out!
