I never got to play the original. I was “in between” homes at the time and didn’t have any money.

I get it now. I understand why this is, and always will be the best AC game. I literally cannot stop playing it and it somehow keeps getting better.

Great info. I"m 50+ hours into the game, and I still learned new things about naval combat from this video. Going to fire up the game now and put them into practice...

Spend 2 hours yesterday fighting a naval convoy of a frigate and 3 schooners in hard difficulty before progressing to the point of great inagua.... It was grueling but i felt like such a badass when i finally managed it, they have definately upped the ante from the original

Ship combat feels faster idk if I like that but it’s cool. But like these ships are moving like cars when ramming you😭

I have almost all of the Ultimate upgrades for my ship now, and they make naval combat so much easier, lol. Still a little difficult when fighting the big Man-O'-Wars and the legendary ships (although Perfect Brace with Lucy helps a LOT), but forts are cake now, along with naval convoys. I didn't expect to like the ship battles in this game as much as I do, but they're fun.

funny how in sea of thieves chain shot outright takes down the sail and completely halts them as you'd expect

Meanwhile you hit someone in the mast with chain shot here and its like they forget the debuff exists

Amazing video full of information

You know when you perfect brace youll hear a metal clank. And idk if its just me but when boarding you cant shoot your own ship itll look like you will but you wont

Adawale sits courtside while our crew takes 1v2 man o wars and still thinks a brig is too powerful for the jackdaw

@brandonmunson9781 2 months ago (edited)

man they nerfed heavy shot so much. In the original black flag it used to be the best offensive weapon. Used to upgrade that to level two and could take down even a man of war at low level. Sad

Are there weak points on enemy ships that deal more damage?

@CiaraC-hh7rm 2 months ago

Where do u find Lucy

@willc4163 2 months ago

Came to YT to see if there was a way to out maneuver the enemy ramming. Seems like you always have to take at least one on the chin regardless, Ive yet to figure out how to make them miss.

Only thing i hate about the naval combat is constantly having to board the ships to get the loot it gets so tedious and repetitive id rather just destroy the ship and get all the normal loot
