[Goby Fishing] Goby Fishing Tackle in Late September (September 30, 2026)

This time, I went goby fishing in late September to see what kind of tackle works best. The largest goby I caught was 12.5cm.

I fish for gobies all year round. I enjoy thinking about how to catch them in different seasons and conditions, and I've become hooked on the thrill of catching even just one fish. Thank you for your support.


[Rig used for goby fishing]
① Main line: PE line 0.8号
② Leader stopper: Osanon Complete Leader Stopper, Extra Small to Small
③ Weights:
(1) Daiichi Seiko Through-hole weight 0.8号 to 1.5号
(2) Plate weight 0.10mm
(3) Split shot 8号
④ Fishing hooks:
(1) Sasame Hook Kiss Ribero II, 4号 to 7号
(2) Daiwa Toukon T2, 5号 to 6号
(3) Gamakatsu Threaded Sleeve Brown, 1号 to 3号
⑤ Leader length: 0.4号 to 0.8号, adjusted according to the hook size. Leader length is 2mm. ⑥ A telescopic rod is used for fishing.

【How to make the rig】

① Make a loop in the main line to attach it to the tip of the telescopic rod.
② Cut the main line to a length that is just right for the length of the telescopic rod.
③ Tie a leader stopper to the cut end.
④ Thread a through-hole sinker (0.8 to 1.5号) and a 0.10mm lead weight through the loop made in ① (※ Attach the 8号 split shot 1.5 cm above the lowest leader stopper), then thread the leader stopper through.

*For winter hole fishing, thread a 0.8-1.5号 through-hole sinker above the leader stopper.
*For goby fishing, use a 0.10mm lead weight cut to the appropriate size.
⑤ Attach the hooks to the two leader stoppers (top and bottom) to complete the rig.

Finally, when fishing, hook the loop made in step ① onto the lillian at the end of the rod to complete the rig.
