I grew up playing brass instruments. When I started on pipes, one of the hardest things I had to learn was separating my blowing from my playing.

I’ve just started getting a note out of my bagpipes, and this was just SO helpful. So far I’m only able to do the first exercise, but I’m slowly chipping away at it. Thanks Matt!

Great help, I have a tendency to blow and forget to squeeze much, particularly on the top hand where squeezing and playing those notes!

Wish I'd had this exercise a year ago. I think I'll work through it anyway to see if it improves maybe some bad habit I've created in the muscle memory. Thx Matt.

This is very good! My pipes, still have not arrived--- i am using my small scottish pipes, and: as soon as i start using MORE finger work (and faster) , i lose all the NEW bag stability that i HAVE JUST started to achieve😂... ohh my..❤

Thank you Matt. I have been looking for something like this. My blowing squeezing can be sloppy. I’m just beginner intermediate level.

Nice Video and a good Idea will try it tomorrow
and will suggest my band try it, when we're back
from our Christmas break.

Also nice to see my name in the list

Cheers.
