As a massage therapist..no thats a bad move tbh. she was probably not doing them correctly & if you're already healthy & a fast healer, your body can handle it I guess...but I would never recommend it. Also massage therapist help with scaring & sculpting. I use to work with plastic surgery patients. The most you can do for yourself is buy a shake plate & do that in-between sessions. I'm so glad you mentioned massages tbh cause my patients would usually be on the table so upset because this extra cost was not mentioned to them & they didn't budget for them...but with a BBL you HAVE to get lymphatic massages or you will legit pass from your system being completely overwhelmed due to lack of lymphatic movement in the lower body.

Just remember, if you can’t afford to get it done, you probably can’t afford to get it fixed.  Love yourself its cheaper and more sustainable long term.

I’d rather pay for a top notch personal trainer than putting my body through a traumatic procedure and recovery.

Do people these days remember the show Nip/Tuck? There was an episode where a beautiful model went home with one of the plastic surgeons and flirtatiously asked him to tell her what work she should have done (I could be misremembering but I think it was supposed to just be tongue-in-cheek flirty, like she expected him to be like “you’re perfect”) but he took a lipstick and drew all over her body pointing out all her “flaws”. I watched this in my twenties and I knew right then I would never go for a consultation 😂 they can find a million things “wrong” with anyone

My Father in Heaven thank you for blessing me with a mostly functional body for FREE 🙏

I’m so glad I’m afraid of surgery, because this body dysmorphia and those prices would have me on that table in a New York minute.

Last year there was a news story about people catching HIV  from a facility that reused utensils for vampire facials without proper sanitation...no thank you

Meanwhile I just emptied my savings for a single root canal and crown 😅

First Class should be mandatory after surgery. It's the only place where you can elevate your legs and prevent deadly blood clots. Plus you're closer to the bathroom, it's faster to get on/off the plane and the stewardesses will cater to you. I can't fathom having all those stitches and garments and being jammed into economy for 14 hours or more.😕

So many people obsessed with how their bodies and faces look, but so few of them think in mantaining functionality for the time they reach their old age.

BBLs: when you want to spend money you don't have on something you don't need.

Now fashion is changing and the clothes are no longer BBL friendly and they are stuck with tacky Fashion Nova😅

Off topic...but them nails is giving me so much life rn.

I am Zimbabwean and I grew up at the time the economy  started to crumble. All I know at 35 is CASH AND CARRY  if you cant afford to buy it and leave with it dont get it its out of your budget.

For the idea of financing  body mod its wild for me😂😂😂

The way people treat their bodies like trends is horrifying.

The post surgery complications I had for my medically needed surgeries have taught me I will never cut myself for beauty.

Another possible issue with going abroad for surgery to consider; if something goes wrong weeks/months later, you possibly can't get back to the doctor. Sure, you can do facetime, you can go to a local one, but that's not the same.
There was a youtuber (sadly she passed away since) who got a nosejob during the rona. She had a suspicion something was wrong, but she couldn't go  see her doctor in person. They talked on the phone, he said she is probably okay. She had an infection, later had to go back for another surgery to fix the stuff that could have most likely gotten ntoiced in person.

I’ll just stay ugly. I have to get frequent medical care surgeries because of aggressive HS and there’s no way I would do that recovery for something I dont need.

Whatever these workouts and diets don't do I'll just be ugly. Under the best circumstances recovery is the worst part of surgery. It's painful and disgusting under the best circumstances.

The US isn't the only country with great doctors but when something goes wrong you're out of the country and may not speak the language and their emergency care may not be as good. Some countries don't have medical malpractice lawsuits. Some have older outdated equipment, I mean if something goes wrong and you end up at the ER hospital instead of the nice surgery center you had surgery at. And...if something goes wrong later on, have fun paying to go back overseas and getting it fixed without having to pay more. Idk, I wouldn't do it. Too scary.

My neighbor got eyelid surgery in the Philippines. Something went wrong during surgery and she died. She left behind two girls, both under the age of 10.
