Warren Bird and Sean bust the "8,000 multisite churches" myth with real numbers from the largest multisite study ever done (there are only 1800).

Multisite churches are just 0.5% of all churches, yet they reach 10% of churchgoers, and that share is growing.

Do you lead in a multisite church? What are you seeing?

We are now two years into being a multi site church. This conversation was amazing, insightful, & helpful on so many different levels. Thank you so much!

Your talks have been reallllly good lately. Like can't not click and watch. Also, did you know your camera bounces a lot the entire podcast? 😅

So good! Thanks for this conversation. I’m a pastor in the small church trying to convince larger healthier churches around us to take a chance on revitalizing our church and others by embracing a multi-site approach.

Great discussion! When we talk about measuring fruitfulness, it makes me wonder: how are multi-site churches defining and measuring discipleship beyond baptisms and headcount? Baptism is vital, but true discipleship is growing into Christlikeness. How do we ensure we're prioritizing spiritual maturity and depth alongside numerical growth?

Can you talk more about Replanting? Churches like New Life Community Church (Chicago) and was Calvary Church Englewood with Mark Hallock and the Calvary Family of Churches count as Multi-Site?

How many of the churches surveyed were part of ARC? (Association of Related Churches)

I would push back on the Multi-sites developing more leaders because their leadership is limited to the senior leaders being able to let go. I think church planting is more effective at developing leaders because its about empowering and handing off authority. This requires a higher level of discipleship to do well. Multi sites do have a ton of leaders but their ceiling is lower than that of church planters. Not only that, There are non-operational leadership roles that church plants would develop over multi-site. Multi-site has a consolidated governance (elders/deacons) that church planting develops to a greater extent.
