The most telecaster telecaster that ever telecasted.

I saw Roy in the late seventies in a bar in the Twin Cities.
He completely ROCKED THE HOUSE DOWN.
Like Robbie Robertson said 'The worlds greatest unknown guitarist'
I was washing my car one day a couple of years ago with Livestock cranked up. A old buddy came walking up and said "I haven't seen you in 20yrs and you are still playing the same f*****g song". Yes I am.

WOW.-- NEVER WILL BE ANOTHER LIKE ROY. RIP.

Surely one of the most holy Fender relics on the planet. We are not worthy.

That's insane! Roy's guitar wired by Danny gatton. Two of the best ever.

I was fortunate enough to have have seen Roy a bunch of times. One time at Toads Place in Ct. he invited my friends and I back for a couple of beers. Roy was low key and very humble man. RIP my friend, your are very much missed.

Roy Buchanan will always be the one and only Mr Telecaster.

I lived in No. Va. and was lucky enough to see Roy and Danny play (individually) on a couple of occasions. Both amazing artists who sadly left us too soon.

Seeing Chumlee and Shaggy play Roy Buchanan’s tele is wild😂

The best guitar player that you’ve never heard of

A Roy Buchanan ax modded by Danny Gatton is priceless, someone 's going to be fortunate to own this piece of history.

Apparently, Roy had more than one Tele, which is not surprising. His main Tele was a '53 and definitely butterscotch, not white. I had the good fortune of seeing him twice in the 70s. Amazing!

I saw Roy play at the Belly Up Tavern in January of 1986. Earlier in the day I had been at “Blue Ridge Music” in Encinitas, CA. There was a Vintage White 1963 or 64 Gibson “SG” on the wall that I had been thinking about buying. As I’m looking the SG over I feel the presence of someone standing to my right and when I looked up it’s none other than Roy Buchanan. “You like that guitar?” he whispers in that drawl he had (I immediately recognized that he had a bad cold as well). We went on to have a long conversation about the relative merits of the “SG”. When I saw him at the show later that night I was shocked that he was using a Marshall 2x12 combo (probably a JMP 2040) with a BOSS DM-2 pedal and of course a ‘52 Blackguard but he still sounded every bit “Roy”. Not surprisingly I came down with a nasty cold a couple of days later. Thanks Roy it was a privilege!

I saw Roy in a bar in 1980 and he was absolutely sublime. Also, guys, this video was a treat!

I had the good fortune of seeing Roy many times here in Toronto. He was playing his 1953 tele then and bringing the house down every night. He truly was an innovator and pioneer on the electric guitar and those who were lucky enough to see him live know exactly what I am talking about!

I had a few of Roy's albums with the Snakestretchers. My favorite track was 'The Messiah Will Come Again', which I used to play cranked up for my Mom. She loved it, especially when Roy would make the guitar cry like a seagull, she couldn't believe that sound was coming from a guitar.

Wow. What an amazing experience it must be for you guys to play Roy’s telecaster. A true master telecaster player who left us too soon. Special thanks for sharing your experience.

Thankfully I got to see Roy Buchanan in the late 1980's,thanks for your channel! You guys rule...

I remember seeing Roy Buchanan on TV for the 1st time in 1975. There was no player like him. Sad ending for a great player.

When I saw this headline I wasn't sure if I could even believe it's true! What a magnificent collectible guitar that sounds fabulous. I especially love that work JRS did on the bridge pickup. Thing growls just at the right spot. Salute to Norm
