Queen live is another level. You must watch some live performances. Their 20 minutes at live aid was awesome and it was so raw with just a bare stage and the four of them playing their music.

As an old major FREDDIE fan… I’m happy you are discovering Freddie and Queen. The most amazing group of musicians in one band. As you go down the Queen rabbit hole you will become surprised many times over.

This song written by Freddie, has been studied and voted best feel good song.. 😊 This song is still huge here in the UK ❤

Queen incorporated many genres of music, especially on their early albums. Many listeners consider Queen its own genre because of their eclectic diversity as recording artists.
We still love you Freddie. Happy belated birthday wishes.
LONG LIVE QUEEN!!

The start of the song was recorded with only bass, drums, piano, and vocals, Freddie didn't want electric guitar to come into the song until the guitar solo. He felt it would make more impact to the song. And he was right

You really don't know much about them 😄
Early 1970s: Everyone had long hair
Late 1970s: medium-length/slightly shorter hair
1980: Everyone had short hair except Brian, who still had the same curly hair but now silver, and Freddie, with a mustache
1988: Freddie had a clean-shaven look for a while when he performed with Montserrat Caballé (a Spanish opera singer), and from then on he had a full beard—except in the “I’m Going Slightly Mad” video, where he appeared without a beard

Don't Stop Me Now:
This song is widely considered by many to be the happiest song, a title given to it by a 2015 neuroscientist study that analysed songs based on tempo, key, and lyrics to identify their "happiness factor". The song's high tempo of around 140-150 beats per minute (BPM) is a key component of its "feel-good" status, as this tempo is significantly higher than the average pop song.
The video for the song was directed by J. Kliebenstein and filmed at the Forest National, Brussels, Belgium on 26 January 1979. The video was uploaded to Queen's official YouTube channel on 1 August 2008.

They didn't want to make detailed music videos because they didn't want to spoil the listener's own impression of the song. They wanted the listener to be able to decide for themselves what each song meant to them. And sometimes they were just having fun (I Want to Break Free)

Queen was ready for MTV before any other artists because of these videos.

Check them out in their videos from their early days. "Spread Your Wings" is an awesome tune that has a video for it.

Having this song related to your child's birth is epic.

This song has undertones to it. It not just the happy song people like to think it is. This song is about when Freddie went into a hedonistic lifestyle, doing anything and everything with anyone and everyone which band mates were concerned about. Freddie was playing Russian roulette with his life and paid the ultimate price.

It’s funny you mentioned Freddie’s hair length in this video. It was much longer in the early 1970’s. Have you only seen Queen’s 1980’s short hair and mustache performances? Actually , during his live performance years Freddie had longer hair and no stache for more years than the short hair. Check out Liar live from the Rainbow 1975 and you’ll see them all with much longer hair. Looking forward to some LIVE performances from Queen. All you have done is 3 studio reactions so far. You are missing out if you don’t start doing live performances. Another good pick is Now I’m Here Live from 1986 Wembley. Concert.

Great reaction to a great song! Queen is the best, Sir Brian May on the guitar is my hero.

Quando sono un po' triste metto a palla questa canzone, la canto e mi passa tutto. Adoro i Queen da sempre ❤️ Freddie è super, una leggenda immortale. Grazie

On another reaction to this someone asked about Lady Godiva. I tried to reply, citing the legendary ride through Coventry, and YT took down my reply every time I tried to post. Methinks they didn't like the mention of her fashion choice!

It's almost impossible just to sit and listen to this song without a single smile or some movements. Another great video is Save Me (no mustache Freddie 🙃).

Go back to their video for "Killer Queen" to see the Freddie that us old folks knew first; we had to adjust to the shorter hair, then the 'stache, but we did, because he was brilliant.

ETA: you guys have seriously never seen the official video (the one that made them REALLY famous, even here in the US) of "Bohemian Rhapsody"??? You sound like you live in the UK, but do you??? (Okay, it's probably that you are young enough to be my kids or grandkids, so maybe that's why?) Do yourselves a favor, younguns, watch early Queen official videos and clips from their early tours (1975ish).

I saw Queen several times from the late 70s to early 80s, and I remember those super bright red/green/white lights like it was yesterday. Every show, they gave 100%, and we were never disappointed. And yes, we all sang whatever Freddie told us to, just like Live Aid. That man could have ruled the world, and we would have all be happy for it.

From 1974 there is a live performance video of White Queen (as it began) from Hammersmith Odeon. Brian and Freddie do a fantastic duo of Guitar and Piano. Freddie's piano skills were really good.
