CARP FISHING at Horseshoe Lake with Darrell Peck! Mainline Baits Carp Fishing TV

In this carp fishing film we join Darrell Peck as he revisits the famous Carp Society venue, Horseshoe Lake for a summer session. With the Horseshoe carp active and seemingly up for a feed, it doesn't take Darrell long to locate the fish and apply his tactics. The only problem is the ravenous Tench are equally active causing Darrell to continually tweak his approach to try and single out the carp.

From rigs, hookbaits and bait mixes Pecky reveals all of thoughts and practices for overcoming these problems before ultimately lading one of the 'special ones' from the majestic Horseshoe Lake!

It’s called boat point because there was a sailing club using that area while anglers had access to the rest of the lake .

Never understand why people complain about tench, a wonderful fish to catch.

I like these sort of videos definitely. But the thing that gets me is everyone say take your time and walk the lake. Locate the fish and go for that swim. But in reality most places are busy and your swim is already booked so you get what you get

A mate of mine is using 40mm boilies for barbel on the tidal Trent, because it's the only way to avoid the bream.
Barbel as small as 13lb can take them, though.
The original boilies in the 1970s were 40-45mm for the same reason: only the carp could take them, not the tench and bream.

Love tench but when they’re on it you’re in for a long night. They’ll take double 18s on my water, can’t complain when 1 in 2 are double figures using the bigger baits but doesn’t feel right catching them on carp gear. Great vid as always!

If you've got all the footage you should edit and produce a separate tench fishing video featuring the tench you caught👌
