In the olden days(30-35) years back this train was called Super Delux AC Express, was running with 8-10 bogies just like MMCT Rajdhani. Also this train was headed by twin alcos or diesel engines, again same like Rajdhani. Also I think it was opening from Bandra Terminus & not Mumbai Central. We were watching this train at Bandra-Khar region in our college days.

The train can be speeded up but unfortunately WR never took initiative to speed up this legend. Strange that it faces so many overtakes from new trains throughout its journey. This can easily go through Poorva way, even after LHB coaches and speeding up of so many trains, sadly, Paschim was not touched at all.

I suggest you also talk about how Vendor harass you on train. They touch everywhere bare hands to touch the products they are giving,. Great cleanliness . You should also talk about begers boarding and troubling all passengers. You should also talk about how things fixed in the toilet when broken, It is shame to travel. But you have to travel and show our gratitude that they are running trains. Railways I bow you to running so many trains even if it not worth travelling we need to. Even if you book highest class tickets you will find how Railways allow you to be cheated and use dirty toilets. My experience says this. First Ac class Please travel in regular trains and see for yourself. You can also see how passengers are who not hold reservation travel and loot unaware passenger,
