The voice line of classic Chuck-e saying “I will NOT be replaced.” Is so cool and creepy

If you die by modern Chuck E. Cheese the death screen is the old one with the original music too.

$186 in 1979? That's over $800 in today's money. Well at least Chuck E Cheese actually pays their employees well for dealing with these abominations, unlike Freddy Fazbear's.

I have a feeling that the ending with costume implies that fred IS the costume. My theory for this is the day the animatronics went haywire, fred was killed in the misfire, and got stuffed in the costume. During night 6 it isnt actually him there its a alternate universe where he did survive (due to him not doing dayshift) which explains why he didnt know anything about what happened that day. So costume is fred from a different timeline where he was killed. Come to remind himself who he truly is

I think costume isnt real, nor is anything that happened except every animatronic malfunction.
I think that Fred has hallucinations, that he believes the animatronics are alive and out to get him, and his belief only grows stronger because of the rumors his coworkers say and the fact that the animatronics are faulty, if you actually pay attention to what the phone guy says the animatronics do while malfunctioning in the day you notice they arent doing anything truly malicious, they are just broken.
The day every animatronic malfunctions is the hardest night that happens in the game because it only reinforces his beliefs.
Costume is the representation of him and his fears, and the reason it's the only character that is able to hold down the door despite being the only one not made of steel is because the only thing holding Fred back is his own fear.

I feel like throughout the game it’s implied that Fred did something, the animatronics are mentioned to seem angry at something, and it has been ramping up since his first night there. I think the mirror ending is implying that Fred wore a Chuck e mascot costume at some point, which is why the mirror is in costume, it’s HIS costume, his costume that he did something horrible in

Sorry, but I don't trust someone called "FazGuy" when "FazBear" is known to harvest souls...

The watermark on the corner is how you know the video essay legit

5:52 im pretty sure this is supposed to be chuck getting into the protagonist's house.

Costume just became one of the most iconic fnaf fan game characters instantly with one single moment.

I think the aspect that really fascinates me about the rebooted version is that every single animatronic in the game, be it the ones on the main five nights or the unlocks, are all official and were part of either Pizza Time Theatre or Showbiz Pizza. It, to me, shows they actually bothered to do their due diligance.

16:24 I think it might be implying that he’s somehow connected to the player, but idk

12:51 Ironically I figured out how Helen worked by complete accident. If I remember my main strategy on Night 4 was holding down the Stage Call after every instance of getting off of the channels and me, somehow not even realising Helen was gone, was able to deal with her. To which I gave a good old fashioned: “Oh she’s here now, okay”

If anyone wants some lore on the rebooted version btw: it’s pretty much directly made clear the animatronics are acting out because they’re aware they’re going to be thrown out; one of Chuck’s lines at the gate is him literally saying “I will NOT be replaced!” And this obviously is what caused the incident on Night 5. It’s really a unique motive for the animatronics in the game; not cause they’re possessed, but because they’re aware of what’s going to happen to them and are refusing to let that happen

I feel like they should make a sequel

16:25 I think the macots were sentient and want to be human. They want to stay like they are, they want to blend into the world. This is a metaphor for them wanting to be like the person

Pretty sure the mirror was meant to reprsent that you were the one in the costume at one point whether you used to secretly be the games equivulent to John or not idk it also might mesn the games equivalent to John is Fred aka the chsrrecter you play as (Incase you didnt know John was a guy who got fired in the 80's from the chuck e cheese costume mascot Job)

my theory of why the animatronics are alive it's because the good memories the people had with the pizzeria, giving the animatronics life and the fear of being replaced, that's why they tried to make improved shows and ask for help to the customers. the most affected one with this memories it's Costume, who was used by Fred to make people happy. Costume knows that it's Fred somehow, so instead of killing the true Fred, it sabotages him. the animatronics thinks that if there's not nightguard, the owners will never be able to replace them.

Always found the visuals of the og game eerie…
The style of mixing together real life pngs in a video game in 2d setting will always feel eerie for me

For some reason, 5 nights at wario's came to mind.
