Now when the president stands it means he's awake

I miss the days when I could even IMAGINE a president being literate, educated, and morally sound.

"The ignorant tight-ass club" He really had a lovely turn of phrase sometimes.

I Love How Martin/Jeb is Acting "Distracted", But in Reality, He Knows Exactly What He's Doing

When a TV show president makes more sense than the actual one.

This is a easily one of my favorite scenes in the entire series hahaha

That glare in his eye he gave her before she stood up was priceless!!!

Your called out once…read the room. Second time…you are humiliated

This scene never gets old.

An absolute crime that "I'm just... gonna take that crab puff" did not make it into this.

All time favorite West Wing clip.  It should have gone a few seconds more to show Sam taking  food off her plate.

in 2026 "when the president stands nobody sniffs......""

Just one of hundreds of reasons (one of the finest, I admit) why The West Wing was the best show ever broadcast.

This clip should always include Sam grabbing a crab puff off her plate.

Best scene. Full credit to the actor who  played Jacob. It's not a easy feeling to that your character would be hated.

and now when the president falls asleep everyone has to stand there smiling.

Anytime I hear someone criticize someone with a PhD for calling themselves a doctor, I think of captain Holt’s rant from Brooklyn 99.

This scene and the Jeff Daniel's News Room scene have to be some of the best tv must see.

lol I have to say that by the end of this clip the tension was so thick I forgot to breathe… like this was the greatest clip I believe in the entire series 😅

How quickly her smug face turned sour from eating the Crow that President Bartlet presented to her while reciting chapter and verses from The Bible!  The one part that was left out in the end is when Sam stops to help himself to one of the delicacies on her plate!  MOO From COW-lumbus, Ohio 👋
