MinnMax's Ben Hanson interviews Avowed game director Carrie Patel about Obsidian's new RPG that takes place in the world from Pillars of Eternity. Since this is a rapid-fire interview, we fly through questions and learn about the size of the game, whether you can keep playing after rolling credits, if Todd Howard has played the game yet, New Game Plus, feedback from Xbox, and a ton more. Avowed releases on Xbox and PC on February 18th, 2025. Thanks for subscribing to MinnMax's channel and supporting us on Patreon and making this entire operation possible! Patreon: minnmax

0:53 “Enemies do not scale with your level” oh thank god I hate when games do that. Super excited for this can’t wait

"kicking is not your only way of yeeting" incredible sentence

The game cover for a avowed might be the best cover photo I’ve seen in a very very long time.

This one Interview has done more to sell me on Avowed than most of the actual marketing. Great work!

No level scaling. That's all I need to hear to know Obsidian actually knows how to build (and balance) an RPG.

She said the words Fallout New Vegas twice which means Fallout New Vegas 2 confirmed!

Wow, this is probably the best sales pitch for not just Avowed, but a video game in general. Very smooth, Ben -- and Carrie was a great sport. Love this!

This is definitely on the list. Very excited to check it out! Great interview!

Love this interview. I learned more about Avowed than any of the official trailers so far.

This is just so much fun. Charisma is oozing out of both of ya'll and the back and forth was immaculate.
5:46 "Technically six. Maybe. But four." My favorite line out of this. Also, 6:54 Quest for Glory remake by Obsidian confirmed???

I would love to get a beer with Icewind Dale.

An audible 'oh fuck yes' when I saw a new 'rapid-fire questions' video pop up.

These rapid fire interviews continue to be amazing. Fantastic questions from Ben, and loved the responses from Carrie in turn. I'd already been curious about Avowed, but this interview made me so much more interested. Definitely checking it out on release.

Just a general PSA. If you found Pillars to be a little dry and slow, try Deadfire. It is VERY different and is probably one of the most underrated CRPGs of all time (next to Wasteland 3)
