Cameroonian actress Amélie Bengono opens her bilingual school complex in Douala

Nine years of saving and quiet work have culminated in a project that Cameroonian actress Amélie Bengono Mapondi describes as one of her most important dreams. She has announced the official opening of the ANORLDA bilingual school complex, located in Makepe BM, Douala. Since her beginnings on social media in 2021, the actress has stated that she has prioritized the production of educational content, with the conviction that education is a driver of sustainable development.

For the 2026-2027 school year, the school will welcome students from kindergarten to 8th grade, in both French and English sections. Amélie Bengono explains that she worked discreetly for several years to finance and bring the project to fruition, despite the difficulties encountered along the way. She also paid tribute to a partner who had supported her in the development of the complex, sharing her vision for education.

Located in Makepe BM, at the Orange branch on Rue des Pavés, ANORLDA is expected to gradually expand its educational offerings. The stated goal is to open classes from kindergarten through high school in both language sections starting next year. With this initiative, the actress is broadening her activities beyond entertainment and investing in the education sector, after nine years dedicated to building this project.
