Thank you, enjoyed!

Miracles do happen.  They mustn't be related to death or healing.

I'm not talking about landing butterflies or red balloons or even the whiff of a fragrance.

I'm talking about out of the blue, no priests or preachers, nor prayers by anyone...

When you see your 10 year old daughter's entire countenance and spirit change in an instant - in her bedroom with just her sister and mother (me) - her whole body infused with joy; when she somehow realizes God is real, and not because of anything said to her; when she stares into your eyes with happy tears streaming down her face, asking, "Will I always feel this way?"... you know the spirit of God has touched your daughter.

With no warning. With no provocation, not even a faith passed onto her by anyone - not even me - it's inexplicable. It is miraculous.

As a non believer,  i usually shy away from religious manifestations, but found the juxtaposition of faiths compelling.

Thank you so very much for sharing. Recommend. ☘️

The last ten minutes are excellent. Greene always pulls it off in the end. Families and faith are complicated. As are personal ghosts. I wonder whether Graham and CS Lewis were friends? They make me think of one another. Great upload. Thank you.

Thanks and blessings ❤❤❤🎉

Excellent

"I couldn't believe in a God I could understand." They should have put that at the beginning. Would have saved me an hour and 23 minutes.

John chapter three verse sixteen

I liked the play, but i would argue the fact that if the uncle made a "deal" with god, then it wasnt god at all. It was the devil.

Is no one curious ( or brave) enough to ask the obvious questions: Why does a 14 year old boy want to kill himself in the first place and does it have anything to do with a priest’s  deep love for an adolescent nephew? What else did the old potter see in that shed? There’s more here than just claptrap about faith and miracles. Their diction and dialogue may be elevated but they’re still just plain old people.

If anyone other than Graham Greene had written this, it would have been binned before it got within 200 miles of a publisher.
It's utter rot.

Aslan!

To live without faith... sad.
