you could probably just raise the value of resistor slightly for the new LEDs to make it a bit easier

Also I think your channel is very informative to Saab owners.
Thank You So Much !!!

It's a great little upgrade. Happy to report I followed this on my 2008 car at the weekend and its working nicely. The soldering is precise work but completely achievable with a fine iron tip and tweezers. Thanks Cyd!

I just did mine, using oem leds, and a spare with ones from mouser. The Mouser ones are definitely brighter, but not intrusive, but the oem's are sweet, and I can now refurb my original ISM with confidence. Thanks for the vid btw.

Great video 👌 I was lucky - managed to hunt down a 2003 ism and simply did a swap 😎

Brilliant, thanks Cyd.

Neat! I'm going to do that to a spare switch I have. Great channel!!

Saab ref 12786386, 2003 model year only. It involves removing old one and install new one only, much less work involved. That’s what I did 🤷🏻‍♂️…

Another great video Cyd, I'd be interested in swapping mine for one of these if that's possible please?

Just took a 2003 one of a saab we have in,
Opened it up, and leds and resistors all there.
Had to check your video first, to know what I was looking for.
Thanks cyd

1:17 for the information for what type of resistors and LEDs.

@markvankampen1794 3 years ago

you can also get the leds from the ddm, acc system if you want a 100% color match, and those are sometimes easy and cheap to obtain or any MIU if you wanna have a christmass tree all leds/colors fit, aslong as you have the resistor correct. Doing this with a hot air station works abit quicker tough and some chip quick (but dont set the setting on max air speed)
