The song is a tribute to the band's original drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, who died in his sleep on December 28, 2009

R.I.P. James "The Rev" Sullivan.

This song is heart breaker. Anyone who has lost a friend will feel this song in their soul (me included). Real brotherhood is not something taken lightly.

in the video it was them when they younger, they were all best friends from when they were younger, The Rev died on December 28, 2009 their Album Nightmare that came out in 2010 was essentially tribute to him and the song Fiction was the last song he helped with before his passing.

Hail to the King is a banger.

They also have a cover of Malagueña Salerosa and yes it’s in Spanish.

Avenged Sevenfold - Hail To The King           Avenged Sevenfold - Shepherd Of Fire           Avenged Sevenfold - Afterlife

8:05. That's theire former drummer  James Owen "The Rev" Sullivan who died in 2009.
This song is a tribute to him.

The young guys in the first half of the video symbolize the bands history.
Avenged Sevenfold was founded in  Huntington Beach, California in 1999 by Matt Sanders, James Sullivan, Zachary Baker and Matt Wendt. All four of them were born in 1981 which means that they were 17-18 years old when the band was founded.

One of their slower songs. If you really want to see them pick up the pace check out ‘Nightmare’

As others have said it’s about their drummer that passed away at only 28 years old. They are all childhood best friends as well

If you want to see Drummer "The Rev" before he died, at the Live concert at LBC 2008, I'm waiting for your reaction❤
