Most comedians fear awkward silence. Norm thrives on it.

"I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... But your kids are gonna love it."

"I'll be doing some jokes later."

Holy shit, what a dead room. Norm's a legend.

1:00 David Spade laughing, knowing Norm was gonna do his thing.  It’s insane he was even asked to do this.

Norm Macdonald is the guy that tells jokes no one laughs at, and the fact that no one laughs makes the joke even funnier

“They say he got drunk at a party, and had sex with his own wife” lmao

I love how he waits WAY too long after jokes for people who are too angry to laugh

"I talked to him backstage and it was a real thrill for HIM you know".

"Please don't let me bomb in front of the president!"

If they knew that THEIR SILENCE was the punchline of that joke...

There isn’t another comedian on the planet that could have manufactured this level of tension.

I like how norm loves his own jokes it’s like he’s entertaining himself he doesn’t care if the crowd laughs

Most comedians get joy from the audience laughing, but Norm seemed to get more joy from awkward, tense silences.  RIP .

he's not telling jokes..they are the joke...Norm is a crafty bastard..

The joke is that the audience doesn’t know they are the punchline.

Telling jokes to deliberately not get laughs, different kind of guy

The discomfort Norm brings to a room is his greatest gift.

You think Norm has balls? Whoever got him this gig has huge balls!

I love that he loves that they don't love it.

I love how bill thinks it’s funny while Hillary and everybody else looks at norm like he just killed their dog

The Boris Yeltsin secret service joke where no one laughed has me dying 😂😂😭
