I don't know how old you are, but I'm 64 and I felt like a little kid waiting in line you meet you the other evening at GW's.

I’m from Laredo I’ve always known it how taco palenque does it , beans and cheese fajita with flour

I'll be honest I always thought Taco Palenque came up with tacos piratas, that was and still is the only place I ever saw them being served

Taco Palenque in Laredo tx sells Pirata tacos on the menu and it’s refried beans, shredded cheddar cheese and sliced fajita in a flour tortilla. The second tortilla was to catch the fillings that fell out of the pirata while you ate it🤣 but nowadays they don’t stuff them like how they used to. Exactly as you said in the video

Thank you for being you as a person born and raised in the RGV it’s nice to see our flavor and food is getting to more people thanks to you

The Arnie version with bacon sounds pretty good!

Hey Arnie cheers! Talking to my father who was born in Mexico City in the 50s he says "gringas" were always around when he was a kid in the 60s in the taquerias in Mexico city the trompo tacos with melted cheese. And when he lived in Leon Guanajuato throughout the 80s similar tacos with beef and cheese were called "campechanas" main difference being the gringas and campechanas were made with a corn tortilla and the "piratas"with flour. But he didn't hear about piratas till they migrated to the 956 in the late 90s more of a Matamoros style taco with cheese and avocado but with flour tortilla imo.

Laredo TX hands down!!!

Tacos piratas in Burgos, Tamaulipas have bistek, queso fresco, Avacado, creama on a giant flour tortilla. It is my favorite taco

Hey Arnie! RGV native here! My fam LOVES to prender la parrilla any chance we get! My family and I mean the ENTIRE family has been using a mix of seasonings down to a tea for generations today at Aguilar I saw the OG for the first time in person bought it and decided to break the chain and use OG on the grill and it blew my family away 😂 they were asking this is all you used? YUP! New seasoning and my favorite thank you!!!

Taco palenque piratas the best

I only get Piratas from Tacos Del Julios in the Houston and Katy area. It is a chain brand from Monterrey. I'm sure there are other places, but that place is the only one I know of. They are incredible too. Just like your friend said, it's bistec chopped, with cheese and an avocado inside. I drown them in salsa verde and cilantro and usually eat 3.

Monterey all the way!😋

Add cilantro and onions to both, also love that Salsa Verde!! 😮❤

I’m in ATX… Taco Palenque piratas are my favorite taco these days. I get them on corn tortilla, & have to get their avocado cream salsa on the side. So, so good. And so filling. Stuffed for hours & hours afterwards!

You had me at tacos 💥 🎉

Our tacos piratas consist of a large flour tortilla with beans cheese avocado and your choice of meat…fajita, sirloin, or tripa…best when you get sirloin with tripa dorada! Add some cilantro, onion, and a good salsa.

I've made the bean version by accident. I had bistec, small flour tortillas refried beans & cheddar cheese so I threw them all together 😊😋🙂

Tipo de Monterrey 👍🏼
