One thing, the mid 80's aren't 'dark ages', they're beaming day-glo bright! Much brighter than 'now'.

Nice to know that two of my biggest skate  influences (and let's face heroes) from my childhood come across so humble and self deprecating. Back in the dinosaur days of dissecting every detail of Thrasher pics and the rare video release. I'm glad my dad threw my old broken/banged up decks up into the garage loft instead of tossin them, he was right that we all become sentimental  one day.

I was sure there was no podcast with natas, i'm so glad! Tommy you're a legend

A Cardiel episode would be super tight!

I love the story Max Schaaf tells about Natas at skatecamp and he breaks his baby blue shoelace and Max happens to have the same one & gives it to him. Then Natas breaks his board and gives it to Max. Later on Max pieces it out cause "you know..it had Swiss" LOL  Natas is awesome!

Tommy G and Natas!! Fucking RAD!!!

I remember seeing Streets of Fire for the first time back in 89/90.....Christ,I remember it like it was yesterday...

First deck was a natas 1989

Great show as always! Get Jason Jesse, Grosso, Cardiel, Gonz, or maybe Manderson.

Natas's parts are legendary.

Natas and Gonz the best to ever do it they’re creativity and their appreciation and they’re enjoyment of skating , they did not put fortune and fame before skating and that is why they’re still the artists that they are today.

Thank you, Tommy for this great interview. It is 2024 and I’m here, bro.

To date, Natas is my favorite Skater.  So much style.  Just no one like him, even to this day.  I really enjoyed this video brought back many good memories skating in the 80's.....  Its nice to know what Natas is up to these days.  Seems like a really humble guy too.  Thanks Natas for making us all better Sk8ters 😎

Natas was that dude! Rad.. more please...

NEIL BLENDER EPISODE NEXT

BS with TG needs to be a podcast!

Thanks Tommy these videos are frickin great!!

He was making em.......I was breakin em....... LMFAO

Nata's has no idea that my life was changed cause of him....Growing up in a small college town in Oregon during the 80's was pure hell for skaters , we had to fight literally to ride.  When my friends and I seen Natas on Thrasher it was like a switch turned on and our town became "skatable" .  The way he used the walls and rounded curbs for nocomplies was insane... My best Christmas was getting my Nata's Panther Board complete with Indies ...My dad knew I loved Nata's and told the skate shop to build a Nata's board that these kids would want 😂 I freaking became a true obsessed street skater that day.

They need to make an updated shaped board with his OG prints a mix of the early 90's and late 80's shape and concave , kinda like Mike Vallely is doing with Street Plant.  I would buy a board esp if a large chunk of the money goes to him,  the dude is legit very humble .

Shit, I remember putting bolts in upside down, haha.. we called 'em 'suicide bolts.' --tore our shoes up in no time.
Looking forward to part 2!

Great episode! Looking forward to part 2.

How about getting Tom Knox on the show? That would be cool. :)
