Humanity has sent rovers to drive on Mars and probes through Saturn's clouds—but there's one direction in space we've almost never explored: straight up, out of the flattened plane where all the planets orbit. The regions directly above and below the Sun remain one of the last uncharted frontiers of the entire solar system.
In this video:
0:00 - The illusion of having already conquered everything
1:38 - The invisible prison
7:38 - The ultimate frontier is still above us
10:26 - The two witnesses of the summit
16:11 - The bubble of unknown shape
22:23 - The plunge into the fire
29:04 - The photograph that's missing from history
35:26 - Falling into the Sun costs more than leaving it
42:57 - The three exits
56:03 - What exactly is "up"?
1:07:48 - Why no one has done it yet
1:14:04 - The final word
