I’m a minimalist. She’s a maximalist. (His and Hers Toiletry Kit Loadouts)

I am a bald man and a minimalist, so my toiletry kit is extremely light. I am addicted to personal item only travel.

My wife has hair and is more of a maximalist. She travels with a checked roller bag and a personal item.

Today I’m comparing both of our toiletry bags and toiletry loadouts side by side.

Are you more minimal or maximal in your toiletry kit loadout? Drop it in the comments below.

Since your wife’s kit doesn’t contain any cosmetics I’m assuming she has another one for her makeup. 😂

That’s not how I remember the Avril Lavigne lyrics going, but still relatable😂

I'm trying to be a minimalist because it makes packing and life in general easier and i just really like the look but its hard cause I'm also the type of person who want to be prepared for every situation

I'm minimal-ish. I decant my hygiene products into tiny muji bottles. So I bring a larger quantity of products, but small amounts. So I have everything I use at home packed into an Osprey Liquids pouch. Once my husband walked in on me melting down a chunk of my deodorant so I could pour it into a tiny travel sized stick that came from another brand. He's like "what on earth are you doing?" Me: "Don't worry about it" Him: "Ok"

The gravel is great for me and travelling abroad. The clear plastic bag is a bonus for getting through the airport.

Her maximalist is still pretty reasonable! Mine is like a 38 inch long four section toiletry bag with like full lotion bottle size stuff LOL

I'd love to have a really minimalist toiletries kit but my prescription skincare can't be de-potted and if I don't use it for even a day my face will hate me.

I'm a Mediumist. I keep a few more things, carried in an REI toiletry. It hangs and has a zip out liquids bag for TSA. I like it, but its a little "meh" on the roll feature. Great vid as always, sir!

fyi-- decanting sunscreen into another container can significantly (if not totally) reduce it's effectiveness. feel free to do some of your own research on this, but for sun safety i'd really advise against it. up to you, but i thought this info might be helpful that i learned from my dermatologist : ) this video was so great to see as a minimalist EXCEPT for my maximalist toiletry kit haha. realized how similar my toiletry bag is compared to your wife. she knows all the good products for sure. thanks for posting! wishing the best for you both <3

I would like to claim to be a minimalist, but much in my life seems to testify that just ain't so. I am making progress, but have a long way to go...LOL! In my Dopp kit you will find a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, a safety razor, shaving soap, aftershave, a Styptic pencil, a Victorinox Swiss Card grooming kit, nail clippers, a small OLight flashlight, four Matador flat packs with screw tops for a bar of soar and various liquid agents that get used to complete my morning ablutions, and alas, the list goes on and on. Jeez Louise, where's Marie Kondo when you need her. LOL. 😃

Do you not put liquids in a clear separate bag any more ?

@melky-2222 1 month ago

As a fellow maximalist, 👋🏼 what bags does she use?😊

@naminelove8951 1 month ago

Do you remember though Women carry more products especially for skincare, hair care And personal care and makeup.

IMO your wife's toiletry bag is not maximalist at all. I don't know why she has two dry shampoos, and she's using full size instead of decanting or using minis, but other than that she carries a very typical amount of stuff.
