Glad Cruz is alive but poor guy is going through it.

This was a nice start for season 15, I'm glad Cruz didn't die, that would've been a horrible way to start the new season. I love seeing Severide as Chief right now.

Nice start for season 15.

Joe Cruz still Leaving Wrap

Honestly, the first introduction of McCaffrey (Matthew Daddario) and Marcus (Da’Vinchi) in the scene where these two new candidates walked into Firehouse 51 and met Sal Vasquez reminded me of the first introduction of Miles Penn and Seth Ridley as these rookies arrived at the LAPD Mid-Wilshire Patrol Division and met Celina Juarez in Season 7, Episode 1 of Rookie, in 2025. I noticed a similar scene and similar situation again. What do you think? The Chicago One and other first-responder shows happened to copy each other’s storylines when Chicago One or other shows ran out of storyline ideas, huh?

oop locker room fight

Honestly, I can already say this Premiere is better than season 14. I'm actually genuinely excited for what season 15 is going to bring.

However, I feel really bad for Cruz here. He's always been one of my favorite characters in the show, and I'm glad he's alive, but it's really sad that he will never be a firefighter again.
Now, I do think he is going to get some sort of good ending, like at the very least a bittersweet ending where he won't be a firefighter again, but he'll be able to walk and be there for all four of his kids. I am hoping for something like that and I do feel bad for him, but I do think this might be a good storyline for Chicago Fire, even if it is sad to see Cruz go.

In regards to the candidates, I'm hoping we get some decent ones, and I do love Stella being a training officer, but some of those guys look like they might have some issues they have to work out, especially Burke with Vasquez.

Take a negative and turn it into a positive, alot more people could have died if it wasn't for Cruz. Kelly is under alot of pressure.Season 15 of Chicago Fire is here baby. See you all next week 🔥🔥🔥

So glad to see Severide as Captain, but would have loved to have seen him in a white shirt instead of just the two bars on his collar.

And poor Cruz. I know that he’s leaving in the first few episodes, but to have him paralyzed is traumatic. He’s going to struggle to adjust to his new life

I’m sooooo happy that my shows are finally here! I love the background looks so cool!😮 this is gonna be a great season!😊❤

51 came together to clear Cruz of any wrongdoing in the warehouse fire felt awful for Hermann blaming himself for Cruz's injuries the telegraph reporter was a great asset to the fire investigation the candidates at 51 were something great to see Novak and Vasquez on even ground

Haven’t seen it but I am ready to meet the new cast

All these recruits need to get there mind right or get there mind on a couch. That thing at the accident could have ended super badly and got novak killed.

it would be great if there would be more women on firefighter side not only men

(FINALLY) out of everything going on in a season premiere, my biggest takeaway from this particular one is Violet not wanting to answer the call from Margaret Mikami (first thought was it's her mom), she's like the only main character on Chicago Fire EVER that hasn't had any kinda storyline that wasn't related to Firehouse 51 (Novak and Vazquez have nowhere near her seniority on the show and family members have been introduced for each character), so between her 'relative' and the reporter she went to high school with, hopefully we'll find who Violet Mikami is as a person after 6 years, not just the PIC that hooks up with co-workers without any kinda character depth 🤔🙄💯💯💯💯💯

Kelly arrogant phase start

I love that Severide has actually taken the Chief’s office. Kelly is really stressed out about the new responsibilities and he is in a more intense position than Casey without a Chief overhead and family in the house and directly in his chain of command. One episode in and we have already had a Chief office meeting like old times.

As far as he stance against Stella this probably mutual fault about things, but he is right overall he does have to be impartial and unfortunately, Stella does need to learn what she can and cannot ask for at certain times.

As far as the rookies, I think three of them will pass one will fail to will probably stay in the house one to engine and one truck. And sometime probably this season soon we’re going to get introduced to the next Lieutenant or captain for squad. Kelly will eventually be forced or choose to take the Battalion Chief Exam. With Joe gone, they’re going to have to introduce someone new or possibly bring back an older certified member of squad in the short term. The episode was a bit slow, but in my opinion, it’s just paving the way for the new culture how things are going and characters. It’s a Time of transition.

They are changing the animation of chicago fire ?
