So tackled this today - had a lot of confidence thanks to the video and all the right parts. My only suggestion.....get a better transfer pump than the one suggested. Its cheap yes, but for a reason! Mine exploded spraying oil everywhere! Other than that - there were no surprises and this is a great video...oh, and my sump plug had been tightened by the Incredible Hulk just the same!

Must take it a run first and do this warm. If cold, all the stuff you want out has settled back to where that pump won't get it, ready to pollute your new oil.

Maybe it’s obvious but why do you need a replacement plug? Can’t you use the old one?

Nice video mate.

So it is not necessary to remove the cover plate to fully drain all the fluid? Is it worth the extra steps to remove the cover plate and replace the gasket? Where do you find the correct spec/weight of oil?
