This is Dimash’s signature song or some have called it his calling card song. He has been singing it since he was 15 years old. In fact, there is a video showing the progression of SOS sung by him over many years. It’s interesting, as you see the improvement of his voice and the changes he makes to the song over the years.
This song came from a French Canadian musical from the 1970s called Starmania.
Other Dears (Dimash’s fans) have already told you the history of this song.
This video is from his Digital Show which he performed online during the pandemic. As all his live shows were cancelled, he decided to have an online show where he charged his worldwide audience US$12 and gave most of the proceeds to charity. The reason why he appeared to be sweating is because he had just done a song and dance performance before the SOS performance.
Oh by the way Dimash doesn’t speak French. He only knows a few words. He has sung in 16 languages which he learns to sing phonetically and he is also a multi instrumentalist . He has done so many other things and have achieved so much in his young life, but I don’t want to make this comment too long.
I enjoyed your professional reaction and would love to see you continuing to react to this perfect singer.

Minion? Dimash are 6'3". adica 1,91m.

You are a little mixed up. That performance is from his Digital Show Concert in 2021,  Slavic Bazaar is an earlier performance from 2018. What you describe as a very small body, is a big 191cm man. He is tall, athletic and a very masculine Kazakh

Hello! Welcome to the Dimash era! The first time I heard him, I was just as amazed as you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My first songs were "SOS" and "Sinful Passion." You will be tied up like all his "dears." That's what Dimash calls his fans, and there are millions of us worldwide. Dimash was born into a family of Kazakh musicians. At age 5, he began studying music at a music school, where he was diagnosed with perfect pitch. At age 6, he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6 instruments), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, and advertising modeling (he's  1.91 m). He has won countless awards and accolades throughout his career. The most amazing thing is that he's only 32 years old. He speaks Kazakh (his native language), Russian, and English, and is studying Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. Finally, I must say that above all these qualities, he is an extraordinary human being, a lover of peace, respectful of his parents, his family, and his culture, and the best ambassador for his country to the world! He recently finished his world tour, "Stranger," with resounding success.
He recently finished participating as executive producer and promoter of the first musical cultural exchange program of the Silk Road, created jointly by China and Kazakhstan, *VOICE BEYOND HORIZON*, for which he received important recognition.

For many people, Dimash is important not only for his songs but also for his unique personality. He gives people what they long for. He offers respect, kindness, and honesty. He also showed us his country, Kazakhstan. We know he worked hard from childhood, learning music, playing instruments, and singing. He's currently pursuing a doctorate, and despite his success, he remains humble. But at his concerts, he's a volcano of energy, charisma, and artistry.

Kudos to you on your virginity channel. Because you’re a professional analyst you can go into the hundreds of thousands to a million subs. Advice: if you interupt a vocalist go backwards a kpliitke but s the listener gets a full listen of the phrase. Dimash in his PhD now after his master did not take the seat offered him at the Astana opera house. In his words I will pursue a neoclassical tyke. Here, in sos we have pop opera. He does many creations you may have never heard before. I’m assuming you are of Latin because of name and speech? Dimash from khazakstan sings in 17 languages one of them Spanish. He had done over 5 songs in Spanish but in October he did two concerts in Mexico City. Dimashs part of the world is conservative in emotion and outward approval for performance I don’t think when he went to Mexico that he knew his fan base there. They met him at the airport and the Latin “Dears” sang to him in Spanish. And, at the two concerts they were boisterous with standing ovations and screams and yells. El amorinti at Almaty is a wonderful one.

Some things that make Dimash a different singer are his absolute pitch and the ability to perceive and reproduce microtonalities (which currently reach 32 semitones and which is not a common scale in the West, which uses the well-tempered scale of 7 tones and 5 semitones ). He is also a phenomenal composer and arranger, a fact that complements his singing, as everything that needs to be done is already built into his mind!
Dimash is a graduate of the University of the Arts in piano, opera, contemporary and jazz, has a master's degree in composition, plays seven musical instruments and is currently completing a doctorate in musicology.
The complexity of the works created by Dimash (such as “The Story Of One Sky” and “El Amor En Ti”) demonstrates that, in addition to being a singer, Dimash can assert himself as one of the most talented modern composers!

Are 1,91 cm înălțime și 87 kg.

Thank you for your lovely reaction to Dimash's singing and artistry. I'm  a fan of his since 2021 and las year and flew to Barcelona, Spain,  just to experience him live. The best musical experience ever! ❤ From Portugal 🇵🇹

I really liked your analysis of Dimash’s vocal abilities. You are very knowledgeable. I'm sure you've heard by now that he's actually tall (6' 3") and started voice and piano training at 5yo. The son of professional singers, he's never wanted any other career and is living his dream. He is beloved by millions, with sold out arena concerts all over the world, typically attended by fans from 60+ countries. You mentioned Slavic Bazaar, but this version is from his 2021 digital concert, made during covid for his fans, who he calls his Dears ❤ You may have noticed, in the lower right at the beginning of the song, a 'charity partner' with whom he shared revenues from the online event, very typical of Dimash. He is a beautiful soul, easy to love.

💙Welcome to Dimash's Universe✨Thank you for your reaction and analysis and respect to Dimash's work.
Here I am as a new subscriber from Sevilla 🇪🇸🌷

✨🎶"Dimash is what happens when music gives the world its best."
After waiting for him for years,
Barcelona was my first Dimash's Concert and I'm still shocked 😭
His LIVE PERFORMANCES are INEFABLE, you can not explain what are you feeling.

🎊🎊 There's still so much to experience, enjoy, and be amazed by Dimash with his NEW live performances, his own compositions, and his videos: 'The Story of One Sky', Stranger, Fire, Himne à l'amour, Ikanaide, Olímpico, Ave María, Love is not over yet, El Amor en tí, Omir, Love of tired swans, Your love, Love is like a dream, Adagio,... and more and more...

🎶✨Listening to Dimash sing is an INEFFABLE EMOTION OF THE SOUL, it escapes our understanding and cannot be explained with words, it is an emotion so deep and intense that it is impossible to describe.

🌷Dimash is the Greatest Of All Time. He gripped my heart and wouldn't let go. I couldn't help but fall in love with his voice. But I'm still here because of his heart. Dimash is an extraordinary man and music artist.

💝 Dimash has been studying music and singing since he was 5 years old, constantly working hard and passionate about all types of music, with the support of his family and friends and the international recognition of singing and music professionals. His inspiration since childhood has been Pavarotti, Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Michael Jackson, Freddy Mercury, Celine Dion... and his performances are as if he were all of them at once.

💛His mission is to promote the cultural richness of his country, Kazakhstan, and the kindness of its people, spreading love, unity, and understanding among all people through his music and messages of peace. He has achieved this through over 26 years of study, plays the piano, drums, and dombra (a traditional Kazakh instrument), sings in more than 12 languages, and his concerts last almost 4 hours. In 2024 and 2025 he fulfilled one of his dreams when he was able to sing alongside José Carreras and Plácido Domingo, his childhood idols.

💥💥He is an IOM Goodwill Ambassador and winner of numerous national and international awards.
One of his dreams is to live in a world without war, and his voice is the instrument to make it possible, attracting people from all over the world to see him at his concerts.

🎶✨Don't miss out on his DIGITAL SHOW with a wide repertoire like this song SOS broadcast during the pandemic on 2021, as well as his ALMATY CONCERT 2022, divided into three parts, all on his official YouTube channel:

"nobody talks about the work..." actually, reviewers are talking about the work Dimash put in all the time

Welcome to an extraordinary musical journey; Dimash is a world apart

Actually this is not the Slavic Bazaar version, I think you will actually appreciate that performance also, it was 3 years earlier perhaps less rock in style but magnificent. There is also an earlier version from Chinese show I Am Singer, a bit less polished but truly great, that performance was his breakthrough and brought him millions of fans in China where he is much adored! He sings in Mandarin as well as about 15 other languages. Greetings from Cape Town South Africa. I am looking forward to more reactions by you to Dimash!
