"Aficionado" is not a swear word that needs to be censored lmao. It just means enthusiast.

This niche Chinese genre is actually pretty popular abroad now, more and more games have come out with English translations, and there's lots of novels translated

My Chinese Vtuber can't be this cute.

That greentext is so accurate lmao

5:47 "Does Rimworld start you as a rice farmer?"
Curiously - yes.
Technically you start as a group of spaceship wreck survivors stranded on an unknown planet. And you don't have to grow rice...
But rice has the shortest growing period of all potential crops and if you want to get sustainable source of food ready before your supplies scavenge from the wreck run out - you better start growing rice the moment you crawl out of the wreckage.
Well... Technically this is an exaggeration. But not by much.

chinese fantasy lore seems like trough time  people just kept making shit up and adding it to the lore and everyone accepted it as fact and never removed anything :D great vid

16:25 "Doggy enjoyer" sounds like its talking about something else then the animal.

Yes! I've been hoping that someday, someone Chinese would react to Sseth's video. It's so cool to hear about Niner's personal experiences with Feng Shui, and that oddities like the room-door-direction rule wasn't just added to overcomplicate things-- it's something that parents would actually nag their children about XD

if you like these kinds of games played by Sseth, check out his video on "The Matchless Kung Fu"

Suddenly my favorite Chinese vtuber

NEW NINER VIDEO!!! LET'S GO!!!

Yay Niner reacting to more Sseth! Thanks Niner!

your accent is adorable. Edit; I also love the eyes in your hair.

The game is not really wuxia, but xianxia(仙俠)
The difference between the two is that wuxia is a lot more grounded, whereas xianxia is far more fantastical. Classic wuxia is something like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, whereas xianxia is more like Journey to the West. In fact, Sun Wukong is a xian(仙), and a massive amount of the tropes in xianxia novels today were inspired by JTTW

the statement of people choosing between french and european is crazy

Hey, need to tell this now.
Was currently on the way to bed, saw the thumbnail and had to drop by and say my piece, that model looks so good i love the esthetic sooo much.

As I understand you don't even have to know martial arts to summon wind, just visit a taco bell

Niner being a based doggo enjoyer makes me happy!

You speak funny words, funny girl. Have yourself a subscriber.

12:45 On the thing about if they (the cultivators/inner disciples) need to eat, the game's English tooltips for the hunger bar on anyone that's been promoted from outer disciple (lowest ranked member that may have just arrived or passed the Foundation Stage, but has yet to be given a path for further training) says that the inner disciples have learned to sustain themselves purely through absorbing ambient Qi from the air. They do, however, have stamina that's required for Xiandao followers to cultivate and for followers of the physical paths to remold their body. Food, for them, is converted into stamina instead.
Food isn't directly necessary for survival for them, but it does enable them to gain more power to survive fights.
