In his prime, Faker got 3 world titles; In Chovy's prime, Faker got 3 more.

He won another 2 world titles since that video, loo

Divide his stats in half and he will still be ahead in most metrics. Our dream midlane match up is T1 Faker vs SKT Faker.

‚Legends never die‘ is literally his Song

That 100% winrate against LPL is crazy bro. This is the reason why T1 is the last defense of LCK against LPL. During 2023 worlds all of the LCK team got eliminated except for T1. That time t1 eliminated a lot of Chinese team and became a world champion

6 worlds wins now and a three peat 23, 24, 25

The best thing about this video is how outdated it is, only 2 years later. They really thought he was done after that 4th worlds title, so they rushed to create the Hall of Legends and make him the first inductee - which, fair enough, everyone thought surely his arc was complete. Can’t really blame them for it, and it even ends with a ‘whats next’ in the main video, but still.
The fact that in the year after he goes and has one of his best games ever, in the freaking worlds final, quite literally carries his team across the finish line and gets his second worlds final mvp is just. Chefs kiss. And then one more, cause why tf not.
Just the undisputed greatest of all time.

he's now 6x world champion, one of four 3x consecutive world champion

Faker is the list tbh :P. With 2 more years since this was made, he has gained even more stats.
"In his career, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok has played over 1,000 professional LCK matches. His historic career stats in the league sit at 666 wins and 333 losses (exactly a 66.6% win rate and a 4.20 KDA). In terms of champion specific stats, Faker notably sports a 69% win rate on Taliyah over his competitive career."  This was such a meme I laughed so hard.

What's crazy to me is he was so dominant during his debut years but has proven he still has in his later years to go toe to toe with the best. Dude has monk like mental.

Faker is basically the reason League of Legends is one of the worlds most played games, and it's insane that with all these years and all these "young challengers" no one truly has beaten Faker, sure he had his lull period right after the wrist injury started, meta changed but.. he is back. Last two Worlds he's been consistently beating basically all of the game's top talent single handedly in midlane. While nursing a permanent wrist injury as if it was just a minor debuff.

Like he is so insane that he has seen basically most of the "big" meta shifts of midlane, from the days of poke champions and Assassin's to mages and assassin's to simply control mages, to the "support midlane" meta back to control mage's and then he went back to playing Assassin's as Riot overtuned Sylas and Akali and Yone, just to shit on everyone saying he is washed, and guess what? his iconic champion Azir? he used to be one of the worst Pro players in the world on Azir. They had to have a "sub" for when the team was going to play control mages like Azir or Orianna. Now no one even remembers that he used to be really bad on those two champs. Man also did kind of a similar thing to what Ana did with the Carry Io and he picked Ryze on worlds stage and he was basically the only one who played the champ.
They have to nerf champions that most of the community thinks are weak (Like Galio at one point) simply cause he plays them. Man is insane.

As for Who might be the face of Dota... I don't think it's one player that could even compete even nearly but the OG roster that went on that two International streak. If they all stayed together they could have been as synonymous as Ninjas In Pyjamas is with Counter-Strike or Fnatic's CSGO lineup, or Faker with League. But they stopped playing or went to other teams and lost passion.

Like i know people are going to come here to say "but Faker recently in both Worlds has been solokilled by players, and has lost lanes to for example Chovy" Shut the f*ck up. just shut it. Chovy has choked every single time it's Worlds time, Like that one teaser went "If the future is yours, Prove it." And no one has been able to.
China has 0% winrate against the man, simply cause they once didn't shake his hand (kind of a joke)
EU doesn't have a team that can even compete apart from G2 and Fnatic few years back already.
NA hasn't been region since... Season 2-4?
Korea yeah, there are amazing players but none of the teams can stop Faker from clutching games when it matters it seems.

When Worlds comes again, we'll see if Faker and T1 get there, and if they'll hoist the Summoner's cup and defend their title once again.
Lastly. Faker is so dominant against China that LPL viewing numbers are down for two years straight since T1 has started dominating International tournaments again. Faker effect, they know it's nigh impossible to win while he is on the other side.

The one and only to get Finals MVP at Worlds, twice. His winrate in the biggest tournament of the game, is higher than most people's winrate in solo q

If you're watching the numbers, might as well watch "the words" video too, all the cool quotes and lines he's had over the years, even if its part of a script for the hype, still cool.

It's crazy how I'm pretty sure he's the only player that has stuck to one team his entire career who has won Worlds.

Funny thing is, they didn't try to keep the cash cow, the cash cow bought into the company and refused alleged million dollar contracts from other teams! XD

Fun fact. Because of the number of deep tournament runs and number of games played, he will be (or competing) holding death records also 😂

He is HIM.
the Alpha and the Omega.
A record that, in all likelihood, will never be broken, let alone replicated.

Its crazy that he won 3 worlds during his Carry Era and then wins another 3 as the Veteran Cpt.

I kind of want to have you react to Moments & Memories from each Worlds starting from 2023-2025.

Imagine you are a an LPL Team and Legends Never Die starts playing. You already booking your home flight.
