Great stuff Jason. That's beautiful country. As far as the eye can see, nothing but mountains and forest.
You'd be well aware of the 'other' Big river which becomes the Mitta Mitta river above Lake Dartmouth. I've walked across that between Timms lookout on the Bogong High plains and Quartz Nob on Mt. Bogong. Barely deep enough to wet your boots.
That BMW engine sounds like a Detroit Diesel while heavily engine braking. I love it.

27:56 The Big Bend site could be such a nice spot if the thistles were removed and maybe some crushed rock spread over the muddy area. It's a real disappointment the way it is now.
