I love apollos personality so much, I’ve been adverse to playing him recently because playing a character who’s designed to snowball the early game is scary :(
What would be some tips on playing Apollo into the late game?
Mostly just look to harass their carry? I feel as if my lane is good most of the time, but ultra late game I end up feeling lost besides fighting objectives.
the fact that Apollo's 3 just doesn't give a fuck about Bebop's uppercut gives me so much joy when playing him. I also feel like even though he feels strong early to mid, if I don't keep up the tempo it's so hard to actually do well in Lower Oracle-Upper Emissary since games usually last longer down here.
What do you think about putting unlocking 3 first, since 1 point in it gives you more sustain? Or do you prefer to low cost engage you get from 1 (as in you dont have to commit since it's an attack with escapability built in)?
Man I love Apollo but the t3 riposte upgrade is so stupid. It really doesn't help that there is 0 indication for the debuff so when you play against him you just see him heal to full and do a double take in case there is a rem on the enemy team that you missed. With how buggy this ability is already (I have lowkey managed to get stuck above the skybox) they might as well rework it. It would be so cool if cancelling your abilities into the riposte follow-up was a proper feature and enhanced the ability instead of the mess it is at the moment. It's not really useful aside from sneaking in heavy melees before the duration upgrade right now anyway and giving fencer boy some mixups out of his parry would make him more fun while also playing into his personality and play-style. Given the state of the game though I reckon it's gonna be a long time before we get any reworks. Doorman's buggy doors have remained untouched since launch and I bet they will stay that way at least until the game fully releases along with all the other bugs we've come to know and love
who do you like playing better/find more fun, apollo or yamato also, do you think rushing flawless advance tier 3 and riposte tier 3 is a more popular choice or is it unique to ur build u made? lastly, do u think apollo is a counter to late game carries cause hes amazing in the early game and possibly screw up those carries from grinding more souls
Ed's got a point tho. Infernus has been secretly broken for a long time and it seems like the devs decided to balance the hero by making it much harder to play. So if you're really good with him, I agree that he's S tier. Kinda like Pocket.
How do you play apollo early game? Like pretty aggressive because I think I’m playing too scared in lane and it possibly screws me over. Is there any general advice you wouldn’t mind giving out and heroes that Apollo doesn’t like going against in lane?
