What I honestly like of this game is that you have to think a strategy constantly, it’s not only smashing buttons all the time

You can move his signature in multiple directions, I.E forward then back, or back then forward and that's very important to know while playing him

You can also combo after his second ability, after fullscreen teleport let him do some hits and then you can cancel with reverse into a combo just costs a lot but it looks cool

7:10  Byakuya took knockback from losing the minigame and it threw him out of your attack string

When playing tag you have to pay attention to the color of the icon because once it turns red and orange then its approaching the limit of damaged, he was in spirit drive which made it blow up faster

Ggs on the matches, not having played against shunsui before really made this close af. Still he deserves some more love

So a few notable things:
If you confirm his projectile fast enough, you can teleport in for a combo on hit (or a grab mixup on block); it also usually provides enough blockstun to charge his entire signature (which is also plus OB). Without resources it can combo into a forward heavy; and his super 1 really is the lynchpin to his entire kit.

As globku said reversals switch tag (and he probably should have reversal'd at 9:18  since the full tag pop is half health, shorthand is barring sublimation you can tank 1 combo from most characters except high damage chars like kenpachi or yamamoto no issues); tag is still really volatile and I wish there was a mechanic where it popped when the time was up or the damage limit reached but the latter only on the opponent; so if you hit damage cap switching it on opponent would shorten it to a three count but if damage cap reached on you and timer ran out on you, you'd take full damage.

His forward heavy is safe enough that you can backdash grabs (but not break them, so barely), lights typically can't punish.

His grab combos into his super 2 or a teleport combo extension, but it's mostly built around king of the hill as it throws an opponent really far.

Finally his signature doesn't have armor, but a guardpoint. So a single hit will be armored through, but multihits do get through it (like byakuya's entire kit, eg 18:15 ) and imho this actually should just be armored instead, at least at full charge as it'd also buff tag indirectly.

My personal buffs for him would be:
1. Tag needs to run out of timer on you to actually proc on you; alternatively the red horn knockdown should proc immediately on an enemy but not on you
2. Who goes first should give (only) you three bars on loss instead of two as that's imho worth getting intentionally hit depending on matchup.
3. His signature should be fully armored on full charge.

That is, assuming tamsoft supports this game at all lmao first thing to fix is obviously the shitty netcode

Man this game is great but my biggest problem with is is the priority grabs have. You can grab a grab, grab light, grab a super. And your grab will beat everything in the game

I agree 🙏 give combos to all the characters omg very few have them

With Shunsui's guard break if you hold forward he'll actually dash forward automatically after, putting you in flash attack range.

Odd thing given how the stats looks but in normal form this is list in groups from most Reishi to Least. Everyone takes the same number damage from combos. 2515 from Szayelaporro 🔼🔼🔼

ARE WE GOING TO IGNORE GAME 1, HOW THIS BYAKUYA GOING CRAZY THRU DA WHOLE MATCH OMG🔥6:15

Shunsui is top tier counter pick against dangai ichigo. He has great range and back steps dodges against ichigo attacks, also doesn't cause push on block by ichigo flurry combo attacks. Others for some reason get push block afar.

I saw the title and all I could say was FACTS

I wish Globku give Shunsui a second chance now that he knows how the minigames actually work. The lack of knowledge on Tag screwed him over so many times.

19:58  yes it has a thing with the number of hits as u can see there is a mark that pops up on top of your or his head and when the cones are both in red and the cube is orange at anytime in the combo the cube will turn red and the games ends in your or his loss at least that's how i think it is  hope this helps😄

Despite needing some buffs Shunsui seems fun to play atleast, also in my personal opinion I think Gin could be one of the strongest glass cannons outside of the top tiers and I hope u showcase him.

Though I haven’t played any online matches and is solely playing against difficulty 5 NPC’s, I actually really like Kyoraku’s play style since he’s fast, simple and his range is adequate

oh my god that last match with that byakuya was tight asf, truly anybody's game
