Don't worry bro we won't snake that honey hole if we gotta go through the bat-eating spider tube from the backrooms 🤣

First time I've seen one of your videos. I'm 63 and I have a really bad right shoulder but I used to spend a lot of time fishing. Like you I enjoyed poking around finding my own spots usually on the beach, catching break mostly, but also whiting, which are my favourite eating fish. I really like how you present yourself as being daggy, but you can tell by listening to you that you are a really smart guy. I will now go and have a look and some of your other videos. Thanks for bringing some good memories back to me.

Your 100% right with spots, when I first started watching I always wondered why you never really said where you’re fishing. But I realised as you always say “head down to your local and give it a go” and that’s what I did and caught my first carp after trying many spots

Oh no spiders.  For any concerned viewers, there are few Australuan spiders that pose any danger and noone of them are likely to be in a drain.

I love that ya showed the pieces at the start haha

Props to whoever stood in that water to paint!!!!!!😮😮😮

The best thing about this spot is the amazing artwork that surrounds the entire drains. That’s the only reason I would want to go.

That place you're at is called "The Bowl". In the 80s we were riding motocross bikes all over that area. There were no houses around and was crown land. Tracks everywhere, and from on top of the dam wall we would watch for police on XR600s.
Down stream where the steel bridge crosses the creak was a factory and it was known as Morgan's.
In the 90's i was a the local council and where the counters were was a black & white very large photograph of that dam full of water. In that photograph there were no houses anywhere. I don't know the history of the dam or when it last had water.
Great memories there when kids could be kids without to much fuss.

If you live anywhere near the Maribyrnong river you can fish like this guy!
Rod, reel, bread and nice walking tracks looking over the river so you can simply walk along until you see a dark, dirty looking hole that will have carp in it!

Hahaha, Gowanbrae/Glenroy in the Jacana Valley. Used to live there. Didn't think there'd be many fish in there, but I suppose there's carp everywhere.

WOW.... an underground Art Gallery... i loved that tour, THANKYOU.  SO much miss the street art in Melbourne, used to ride trains just to see the painted walls along the track. How do they even get to half the places  they paint? Bringing the World to life.

I crawled for that tunnel when I was about 14 and couldn’t believe how many fish were in that little pond area

I feel for ya, mate! Barramundi are great to catch (up north!) ... but half the time, they'll spit the hook just as you're about to pull them out of the water. Oh, spiders aren't so much of a worry, but crocs sure are - especially when you're netting for live bait in the river beforehand before the tide comes up.

In some places those concrete channels are being taken away and the banks planted out with natives where the turtles and yabbies and frogs and birds and fish can enjoy new life.

I rode 🚲past this on Tuesday, from Broadmeadow  station, on a pilgrimage to where we live in the late  1970s ( Lorraine crescent), I do remember playing in large pipes as a 8 year old near Moonee ponds creek.

Very disappointing that you lost the big one. Still you are doing your little bit for the environment, so that's awesome.

Thanks, some great artists have been there.

You'll always remember the fish you don't catch more than the fish you do

Do another bmx drain clip juzzy, give the people what they really want

I love this bloke,
